really? I never knew of this law please enlighten me. Is it a MLB rule or Government issued working rule?

There will be a 1.5 to 2 hour period of clear weather, unfortunately it will take 45 minutes to an hour before they start play up. Then the bad weather starts all over again shortly after. Not sure what they are going to do here.

I have Gio in fantasy and was on Oakland in the first 5, so I could get bailed out.

Update: That was quick. The rain has picked back up and fans are running for shelter. I'm told there is no rule for how long day game delays can last in Major League Baseball.

And it's not so much about when the rain lets up, as it is the flooding that is supposed to happen.

I saw that update you posted Brian....I live in the Dallas area and it was pouring about 10 min ago, now its just drizzle and skies clearing up a tad.... I need this game cancelled. I have it on the Game but nothing is being said.

I live in Dallas. The rain has let up, but we're still having major lighting storm. I'm listening to the procast, the tarp is still on the field, but the game has NOT been cancelled as of 4:10 pm CST.

I've been a part of some weird betting moments, this will now rank 2nd all time for me (hopefully I hit texas 1st half). 1st strange moment was under in the famous Artest game Pacers vs. Pistons. They were about to shoot amillion foul shots and artest ran into the crowd
