Gunnar Henderson booted an easy backhand grounder with two outs.
Next batter, 3-run homer from the #9 hitter.
Sunday ruined.
Gunnar Henderson no longer belongs on a big league roster except maybe in Colorado where they’ll sign anyone.

The punchless Orioles will not recover from this 2-run deficit. It’s too big a hole.
Their sixth consecutive loss can be laid around the neck of Error Henderson like a wreath.

Someone named Rece Hinds surprised everyone by hitting a double to deep right to begin the bottom of the 5th, and then he again surprised everyone by getting himself picked off of 2nd base.
Incredible. What a damn fool. Then the next two Orioles hopelessly flailed their toothpicks at the offerings of Payton Tolle.

They were bunting him over on what should've been a leadoff triple.
How do you get thrown out? So frustrating these O's!
The Braves have now tied this game in Philly. Phillies worth a look?

People often wonder why I give up on games so early. Well, today’s game in Baltimore is now Exhibit A.
The Orioles, who had yet to score this weekend, hit back-to-back 2-out doubles in the 1st inning to finally get on the board. In the top of the 2nd inning, Kyle Bradish was one out away from completing a second scoreless inning. An easy grounder was hit to Gunnar Henderson at short. He backhanded it, and then somehow allowed the ball to fall from his glove.
Instead of the inning being over, it was runners at the corners. Two pitches later, #9 hitter Eli White lifted one to left that barely cleared the fence and it was suddenly 3-1.
3-1 in the top of the 2nd inning.
3-1 at the end of 5 innings.
3-1 final.
That is why I give up early on games. Comebacks are rare, and when you bet primarily on underdogs, they hardly ever happen. So why suffer needlessly? I just write it off and don’t bother watching my team quit on each other like the Orioles did today.
