I'm on the AZ Diamondbacks tonight at -145 for 10 units and at -1 for 5 units. The line has been climbing, but you can still get it under -150 and you get -1 at around even money. I don't have time for a long write up today. But some brief points below on why I love the Dbacks in this spot:
1) Zac Gallen
2) Zac Gallen's home splits are incredible; 11-2 record with a 2.18 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP
3) Surprisingly, the Dbacks have the 9th ranked home offense in MLB
4) Not surprisingly, the Giants have the 22nd ranked away offense. Against right handed pitching, they're even worse at #24
5) The Dbacks have momentum (just swept the Cubs) and of course, motivation as they hold onto their Wildcard spot by half a game
6) The Giants lost 3 of 4 to Colorado and have to feel demoralized as they're now out of the Wildcard by 2 games. After the series with AZ - they get the Dodgers, San Diego, and then the Dodgers again. Their biggest rival, the Dodgers would like nothing more than to bury SF of any playoff hopes. The Giants are staring down a dark hole and know they need to sweep AZ. I think it's too much pressure for a team that can't hit. I expect them to fold over the next 4 series, starting tonight
7) Alex Cobb is a decent pitcher. However, he's dealing with a painful hip issue that could limit him tonight. In addition, I don't believe the Giants can provide him with the run support he needs to beat Gallen.
8) Zac Gallen
9) Zac Gallen
Okay, I made my pt. I love Gallen in this spot. Give me AZ at -145 for 10 units and at -1 at +100.
Cheers and Bol to everyone on all your plays.

Line at my book just dropped to -140. I scooped up another 2.5 units. Not sure what people see in SF tonight, but I'm happy to grab a little more for less $

Very well reasoned play. What is your take on AZ 1st 5? My biggest concern with AZ always has been the back end of the game. What are your thoughts on this?
Also so are you play 10 units on -145 and 10 units on -1 +100? Or split of the 10 units between the two.
