"...mostly because they play is a slightly more hitter friendly ball park'

Excellent analysis of this matchup. I will be betting on the Giants today because of the reason highlighted. That and I believe they have better than a 30 cent edge. The Giants' lefthanded lineup will get to Fister today. I think Pablo will jack one off him.

    Thanks for you input.

yup... scoscia and ausmus clearly were out coached...

SF def. has a significant edge

@nuggins   SD is a strong *pitching* team this year are you kidding me?   SD would be in the playoffs if they had a robbie cano in their lineup instead of a bunch of losers.    LAD is a devastating team to play consistently.

comparatively if you look at WSH division   they are playing against way way way weaker teams in ATL NYM (BAHAHAHA)  MIA and PHI.  we all know that MIA is the only team in this gaggle of fools that can hit.    on the other hand ARI, COL and LAD can hit real good,  just have a huge pitching problem.

by rite of comparison I can say with 100% confidence that WSH played in a weaker division namely because there isn't even 1 team in it close to LAD level.

see what portion i quoted- referring to just SF hitting HRs...not what other teams doing  other than pitching to them

AZ and COL have the worst staff in the NL   - weak division simply  in regards to pitching is the west

lol where are you getting these stats from?

fisher is 1-1 against SF this year and 1-2 in his career against them?

and how can you say because 2 other teams got swept already it makes it less likely that WASH will get swept, absolutely no correlation between this series and any other series.

As a Giants fan, Doug Fister scares me more than any other starter the Nats have.  And MadBum hasn't been good at home this year.

Agree with everything written, in every sport, hockey, baseball, basketball, teams that are taken to the brink of a sweep usually end up getting swept. You are supposed to take it one game at a time but being human it's hard. Teams generally not only lose but get blown out. You see the line for the Royals and Giants in the game 3s and it's much higher than it was during the season. Don't remember Giants ever being -130 ish vs Nats even with Bumg.

The batting is pretty much the same over the season but when Pagan is out of the lineup like he is today, the Giants aren't as good as the Nats, when he is in the G-men are among the best in the entire MLB.

Problem with the Nats is that they have no one on the bench at all so the longer the game goes the less chance they have.

probably passing on the game but if I am betting it's on the G-men if only because they are playing on house money and the Nats are going to be tight and prob can't hit bum

Think this through before responding, please. Bookies are not your enemy at all; and neither are the vast majority of readers-bettors-fans and/or bashers on Covers. Bookies are not really anyone's enemy as they merely provide a vehicle by which people of opposing opinions can wager their money versus one another. Any bookie worthy of the term does not gamble, he provides a brokerage, much the same as an insurance broker or commodities broker. For this he receives a commission, same as any other broker than brings together a buyer and a seller at a given price. Covers members that do not feel the same as you do are not enemies either; if they actually bet the opposite side of your picks they are supporting the money line you are trying to capitalize on. Your real enemy is all other bettors, on Covers or elsewhere that feel exactly the same way about a side, total or prop as you do. Those are the folks moving the line in a direction you do not want it to go.
Now, skip a few of the less impressive posts (unless you are just here to gain fans and/or customers) and try to get a truly professional understanding of what you are doing to go along with a pretty nice write up. And guess what? Both of us are wasting our time, you probably can't change a culture.

I have worked for the bookies for 10 years as a statistical programmer, writing programs that optimize data to bilk you out of as much money as possible.   If you only knew what they really thought of you, you would not be saying that.

@carpinteria     not interested in what you think, you can think how you want to think its not my concern.   either you can believe in what was said above about the bookies being neutral parties collecting a tax on the bet or you can believe that the bookies are hiring hordes of programmers to study your betting patterns en masse and optimize the price to take a side that bilks the public out of as much money as possible.

If you don't believe that winning customers are profiled and cut off after they win too much money, you might be shocked when you have some success!

    good luck!

Just don't buy your BS sorry dude. Especially how you say you're doing this for a living betting $250/game. Now THAT'S comedy my friend. Also, it's "bettor'" not better lol. Crazy how a "professional better" doesn't know this

Seen this lame act 1000 times on here before. Some clown starting  a new screen name and trying to act like some sharp insider.

@carpinteria  thats ok,  who asked you to believe or buy anything anyway?   I'm sorry you have such a  caustic attitude and treat newcomers like absolute garbage,  i'm not sure what has happened to you for you to get that way but its pretty sad you come onto a great thread with good opinions and conversation and start trolling.

I feel sorry for you that you cant enjoy life or conversation with others.

Just been around the block too many times and seen this act 1000 times before and EVERY SINGLE TIME it ends up being BS. Seriously, every time

You just joined the other day and by next month you'll either be banned or you'll quit posting. You say youre a professional "better" (how hilarious is it you cant even spell your own "profession") betting $250/game. It's just hilarious, $250/game???? Now you'll try and say this is some tiny play and youre mostly betting THOUSANDS lol.  Then there's the old predictable "oh you just feel so sorry for me" line that all you imposters use. So if I'm so sorry for not believing you then what are you for having to lie to internet strangers?

Your act will work on a huge percentage of the crowd here as theyre all looking for the next "big winner" to come along and they can just tail to the riches but some of us here are a lot smarter and more experienced than you and see thru this a mile away.

I'm batting 1.000 calling out imposters on this site so spew all the crap you want. In time you'll be gone spewing lies on some other forum and I'll be here laughing at you

It is not ME that the bookies are taking. I work from a true probability standpoint and they don't. If you have been programming for them for 10 years you should have an appreciation of how lines are slanted so bettors will play their misconceptions versus the true probability. Before thinking of me as a fool you may also wish to do a little research. I made a living at this for 17 years in Las Vegas and have posted 8 straight winning years on Covers. Some great, some slim, but +$ every year. There are not 500 people in the world that can say that and only one of them posts on Covers. Retirement is great, but when I told you you are fighting a culture here, I knew exactly what I was talking about.
