I was way off.  It isn't 0-6, it's 5-6, but in all five wins, the Red Sox were road favorites.  They are 0-4 as road dogs the day after blowing a lead and losing to the same team.  All four blown leads were by at least 2 runs, just like last night, and Brad Penny was the starter in two of the games.

TB is the play here.. They need this game and they need to hope the Yanks bash the Sox this weekend to have any sort of chance at the WC..  Well they also have to play good on the road against the AL West but that's another story for another day

I love the way Price has pitched at home this season, as he’s 4-1 with a 2.67 ERA.

He should have the momentum-edge, as the Red Sox are now 4-7 against the Rays this season, and have lost four of five in St. Petersburg, where they have won just twice in their last 15 regular-season games. Tampa has averaged 6.2 runs per game against the Red Sox this season.

Boston Tampa with price and penny pitching is a coin flip game.  You're telling me price should be laying -140?????  It might lose but gimme a coin flip at +135 and I"ll take it every time.  Sox!

how is it a coin flip!? penny is a good pitcher now? the rays offense is obviously better than the sox. sox suffered a demoralizing extra innings loss last night, and the rays are as good a home team as there's ever been...

This was basically my stance on the game.....of course, I've been wrong before. Hopefully I'm not tonight

its a coin flip because Price is just as shitty as Penny.  He could give up 8 runs before the 5th.

I agree with the coin flip phrase...It is always a coin flip when Boston is playing...but there is a lot more value in taking Tampa Bay tonight considering the situation...Tampa's a great home team...Boston giving up the 2 run lead late last night...and then giving it up in extra innings...Tampa's hopes and confidence is high, and Boston's is not..

That said, I see nothing wrong with taking the Rays tonight. I happen to be on the Sox.........but like I said, I've been wrong before.

And how can you think Joe Public() is on Boston.  They see Tampa has owned the sox at home on sportscenter and they think its a lock.  And Bator if you think Tampa should be a -140 favorite you're missing the big picture

Bator, I'm a little worried about the line movement. Last night, Washington was -130 and at this moment Florida is now -116. A ton of "smart" money or overzealous Florida backers trying to get over last night's disaster?
