MLB TODAY OLAYS (7/22)

YTD (MLB):  0-4 

Definitely NOT the way that I wanted to come out of the gate, but given the way the season has gone it’s not too surprising. And while some of you might roll your eyes as you read this, I did try to play some of the Later games with extreme success so I know it’s not the way that I’m handicapping the games

With that being said I have a SECOND hand surgery scheduled for tomorrow due to scar tissue forming too quickly from my first surgery. All that to say I might not be around tomorrow because of it and will most likely be using voice dictation for future post at least over the next couple weeks.  Therefore I might not be able to share as much input and thoughts on the plays at least for the next couple weeks. 

I just wanted to start with this as I’m about to take a deeper dive into tonight’s games and would prefer being able to just post them as time will be at a premium starting in about 30 minutes for me.

I might not be out of my upcoming meeting until closer to 4pm (PST) so I'm posting a couple here in the case I miss them or come close to missing them.  It's hard for me to see a night filled with OVERS again but I also don't want to marry myself too much to totals that seem to be affected by fielding and bullpens quite a bit of late:

UNDER 8.5 (BOS/PHI):  This is a tough game because both of these teams can hit but as was evidenced last night, just because the evening is warm and humid it doesn't mean the ball will be flying out of Citizens Bank tonight.  At least that's what I'm hoping as Fitts has been very good over his last 3 starts and Sanchez has been a monster over his last 8 or so.  I thought about playing this F5 but have confidence that Sanchez again gets to the 7th inning thereby limiting the need for a bullpen that got quite a bit of work last night.  As long as Boston can limit damage, I think this game stays under the number.

SF (EVEN):  Landen Roupp has been very solid and a better pitcher in night games this year, though he has a higher ERA on the road.  I do think that the Braves will get some runs tonight but I think SF knows they can't keep losing or else they can kiss any idea of the postseason good bye.  They won't want to lose 2 out of the first 3 here and need to salvage a game tomorrow night and both bullpens have been overworked.  I'll take my chances on the Giants getting a W with a pitcher we know about than the Braves starter Davis Daniel who has yet to pitch at Truist Park.

I will probably have a couple more and definitely have a big play upcoming but want to get these posted before the meeting then return shortly.  As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...

Adding another that starts early especially given I screwed up the time of the meeting, it's at 3:30 PM (PST).  But just dont' see the sense in NOT taking this given the matchup:

DETROIT (-130)...BIG PLAY!!!:  First BIG PLAY of the season and this will be at least 2 units for me.  Casey Mize and Mitch Keller are very similar pitchers in how they started out, then struggled, and are now back to actually pitching.  This game might go under but the fact that Mize is 4-1 with a 2.75 ERA at night and 4-2 with a 3.08 ERA away from home.  Keller on the other hand is 2-7 at home with a 3.89 ERA, so the advantage if both pitchers throw as they have is evidently with Mize.  Home plate umpire does favor the pitchers so that too should loom large here if you want to try an UNDER as well.  But too much value with one of the top AL teams facing a cellar dweller that they lost to last night.

Also Edwin Jimenez is behind the plate in the Boston/Philly matchup and he's been very strong for the pitchers so that too fueled my dart on that UNDER.

  Nothing wrong with the price or the product with Detroit.

 Huge Roupp fan here … probably the most stable currently of all Giants starters.  GL LA 

Have a feeling I know how these will end.  Tigers dug their own grave but good to get those wins.  Here are a couple more I'm on:

OVER 6.5 -125 (MIL/SEA):  Two great pitchers on the mound but I'm playing this mostly because I feel that both are not in their best spots.  Mis is on the road and Gilbert at home and both have worse splits this way.  Umpire is good for hitters as well and Milwaukee is scorching hot and their bats have been humming.  They have averaged over 3 runs a game in these matchups and Seattle has averaged just about the same.  I'm playing the hotter summer air and an over in what should be a solid matchup.

ARIZONA (+110):  This is really tough b/c I think the under plays well here but as good as Framer has been, he's been human on the road.  The Dbacks bats have been good I do fear a bullpen game ends up to the Astros b/c they are far superior in that department.  But the money is really on Eduardo Rodriguez keeping the Astros bats silent and the Dbacks to take to their home field and get the second game in the series.

Might jump on the Royals live their defensive woes led to the runs, Hill has been good.  Might be some good value there tbh.

What Good is the record if there arent a +/- number with it? I would love to see you post that along with the record! I am sure I am speaking for most. 

 Not me bud…speak for yourself.  MLB is 7 days a week for 162 games per team. Major respect to the accounting dudes that keep a valid record, but I would personally rather have one of my favorite cappers focused on yep, handicapping the matchups.  So just my thoughts and I might be speaking for most…There’s a lot of good in the record if the record speaks for itself. 

Another losing day. Gee, who would've have seen that one coming (well, everyone who's been here long enough to know him.)

The question of record keeping and prices are worthless with this guy anyway. Nobody, NOBODY, on this or ANY other forum, has been called out for cheating more times, by more different posters. Last season in the NFL he got caught shaving multiple losses off his record in five of the first five weeks. Same thing every year, every sport.

Last December he posted, "I lost yesterday's pick but it's no big deal for a guy like me because I have a winning record in every sport!"  And then his real records were posted and it showed that he was losing money in EVERY sport. But no one has to take my word for it, it's all here in the archives.

Money lines are irrelevant too. He used Germany -200 in a soccer bet and said he'd count it as two losses on his record if it didn't win, but when he lost he didn't even count it as one.

When he's not cheating on his record he's whining that he doesn't get enough views. And when he's not chastising posters here for failing to worship him properly he's seeking attention in his favorite way, posting stuff that has nothing to do with sports betting: 

"My gf was in a car accident this week!"

"My dad's in the hospital!"

"Some guy almost hit me on the highway today!"

"I'm recovering from surgery" (you won't find a single year here where he hasn't used this one, just to get sympathy replies.)

"MY DOG HAS LONG COVID!!!"

(Okay I made that last one up just to goof on him, but the rest is true.)

The internet's full of guys that cheat on their record, but as many here have pointed out many times over the years there's something wrong with this guy. All you need to know about him is this - he got caught using aliases to kiss his own ass, and despite the proof other posters provided - pasted from his own posts! - he denied it. He even tried to blame it on covers and the mods here, saying they let him get hacked.

And a handicapper who is truly winning doesn't have to cheat on his record. And NOBODY cheats more than this guy.
