MLB 7/28: Cy Young showdown as NL's best two teams meet in Milwaukee

Showdown of the teams tied for best record in NL and showdown between this year's possible Cy Young winner and a future Cy Young winner.  I like the Cubs because Matt Boyd is right now the best pitcher in MLB.  Over the last two months he's 7-1 with a 1.14 ERA and over the past month an even better 4-0 with an 0.67 ERA.  11-3 on the year with a remarkable 2.20 ERA.  Milwaukee rookie Misiorowski has also been outstanding but he only goes five innings at most because he is on a limited season pitch count.  Both teams used their key relievers yesterday.  Milwaukee has cooled off a bit after winning 11 in a row and isn't scoring much.  Milw has zero power with only 98 HRs all year.  Cubs have scored 26 their last five games.  Cubs have five hitters with OPS over .800; Milw has none (although Brewers Chourio is on 20 game hitting streak)

Opinions only:

Royals +135 (Braves should never be favored)

Mets +111 (Mets are hot and Dodgers are not)

Milwaukee has zero power, but 98 home runs in 105 games. I've watched a lot of baseball games where there were no home runs.

He stated that they are tied for the best record... different from the headline. 

I'm thinking Brewers but got no dog in this fight. Will see how they do in game 1 and react accordingly. A toss up no value either side

 Nice picks yesterday!    I'm a big fan of Skenes, also a big fan of Wheeler,  CY one of those two at this time IMO,  someone mentioned Misory (not enough starts)

No way Boyd wins the cy young. He’s having a good year but maybe top 5 in the NL maybe…

Skenes record at this point isn't good enough. If his ERA isn't 1 run lower he has little shot if he doesn't end up with a .500 record or better
