After last nights game, Riley Greene came out and said, the Tigers will play better tomorrow. So I decided to take a small chance on him personally. Let's see if he can put my money where his mouth is. I made this bet.
Riley Greene runs/hits/rbi's over 4.5 at +758.
All I need is a 3 run home run in the first.
Good Luck.

I couldn't believe the job Hinch did yesterday. Never should have brought in Melton. His biggest problem id the long ball. He gets his pitches up too much. Also the Tigers really need a hitting coach and get players to go back to basics. All this launch angle and ANALytics B.S. doesn't work for me. Level swing and hit the ball. Pitches have too much movement to upper cut them.
Ty Cobb once said, the best way to hit a baseball is right up the middle. If you look at all the great hitters, they all hit level or down on the ball. That's why you don't see multiple hitters hitting over .300. Only 7 players hit over .300 this year. In 1984 25 players hit over .300 and another 19 over .290. 11 teams hit .260 or higher with Boston leading the way at .283. 19 teams had ERA's under 4.00. Yes Home Runs were way down, but the game IMO was a better product to watch.

Watching the Tigers try to hit is enough to make you sick. Spencer Torkleson needs to go. 1st inning first pitch, fastball down main street, and he takes it strike 1. Then he ends up striking out. 2nd AB, 2 strikes, chases a curveball that was never going to be a strike strike 3.

I said this in another thread, but this lineup is bonkers. Putting a guy who hasn’t had a good at bat all series in the 2 hole, and it costs you in a huge spot.

I have a list of guts who hopefully won't be on the team next year. 1 guy is Kanhle. He's a freaking gas can. We're stuck 1 more year with Torres and 2 more with Baez. Hopefully Keith will start hitting better and be the everyday 2nd baseman.
We have a stock pile of talent in the minors, but that doesn't mean anything until they get to the majors.
