Yes, I hear you on the input needed for player/team specific data - but my guess is within 1-3 yrs these lines by Vegas will get more tight so any potential increase in Pearson r is useful. Not only OPS - but also maybe HR rate per hitter (as if top of lineup has strong HR rate that could matter specifically for this prop).
I wonder (out loud) if anyone has looked at this prop vs Who Scores 1st prop to see if there are any "arbitrage" situations (ie positive EV due to mis-matched lines).
Last question - and thanks for answering stuff above - do you keep all this on Excel or use some DB? (I curious b/c I keep a lot of random data in Excel, but its so cumbersome).
