I had the Nats in the 1st 5, too. The bet was lost in the bottom of the 1st inning after Manny Machado lofted a fly ball to right that James Wood camped under and just whiffed the catch. Instead of the 1st inning being over, Jake Irvin walked the next batter and then allowed Jackson Merrill to rip an RBI single to right.

Yep. I cant win with that team. I bet against them I lose, bet with them the same.

The Nationals are now 2-19 in their last 21 road games. I knew this, so I didn’t ask them to win the game. I took the half run in the 1st 5 innings (with little fear of Nick Pivetta) and took +2.5 -190 for the full game.
But the 1st 5 action was bigger, AND it was parlayed to a beautiful +.5 +115 on the A’s in the 1st 5 innings.

Thats how I usually bet them first 5 as their bullpen is trash.
