Some youngsters who get a chance in the MLB got lucky. Furthermore, some pitched/hit well in triple AAA to get their chance at the MLB. This weirdo Fuentes is so bad. I can&#x2019;t understand why ATL called him up. He&#x2019;s so bad. Anytime you give up 17 earned runs and only pitched 13 innings is very very very bad. Salute to the nagar I guess because I would have pulled him after 1 inning and DFA&#x2019;d him immediately if it was possible. He would be on my team unless it was mandatory

When I see something like this, I generally try to understand why the decision might have been made..hindsight afterall is 20-20. Without getting into Fuentes' stats & experience, for the life of me I don't see a justification for bringing him up. A quote from an Atlanta sports site sums it up pretty well IMO.

"Falling short of expectations is one thing. It happens — even to great organizations. But willingly throwing one of your most promising young pitchers to the wolves with no experience in a lost season? That’s not just poor judgment. That’s negligence."
