The strongest point is still Bryce Miller. His season numbers and underlying metrics are excellent, and Texas has been weaker at home against right-handed pitching.

The main concern remains Seattle’s offense against left-handed pitching. Their numbers against southpaws are ugly, so this is not a spot where we should expect them to light Gore up. But Gore’s command, hard contact, and road struggles leave a path for Seattle to scratch out enough runs IMO

The more I look at Sasaki’s numbers the more I’m leaning toward the full game. He has been better lately, but his hard-contact profile still leaves the door open for one crooked inning to put the first five in jeopardy. With the Dodgers offensive advantage, the full game may give them a clearer path to create separation, but I’m still digging into it.

 I see the edge with Bryce Miller, but that's exactly why I'd rather play the full game than the first 5. Starters only take you so far. Once the bullpens and late-game matchups come into play, the overall team tends to matter more than the starting pitching alone. If Seattle can stay within reach early, I like their chances over nine innings better than trying to rely on the first five. Any thoughts?

This morning the conversation turned to rest and Arizona’s hectic travel schedule, so I started digging into it a little deeper. And honestly, I don’t fucking hate the Diamondbacks today.

I know it’s been a little bit of a flow process today, but I’m adding the Chicago White Sox to my short card. Still digging, but they’re officially on the radar.

Nats 23 year old Harry Ford is making waves for the Nats. Only 13 plate appearances thus far(called up because of Drew Millas injury)

1.021 OPS, with a stolen base and a HR in 3 games. Batting .273

Littel and Palmquist have never pitched to him.

So let's look at the Nats pitching since his call up. I know, small sample size.

The Nats are 3-0 in his lone 3 starts.

Pitchers, 8 earned runs in 27 innings.

The Dodgers lineup is out and it looks exactly how I wanted it to. It’s deep

Mets lineup is respectable and has enough left-handed balance to make Sasaki work, which is still the one thing sitting in the back of my mind. I can already close my eyes and picture him making me scream out loud…but overall, I really do like the Dodgers today

 Dodger overnight line opened 159 now down to 125. Sometimes someone knows something placing big money. I'll be watching this game from afar because of this

I'd think it's because of Sasaki, he is really mid. Fip also says he's worse than his era. Not that typical Dodgers pitcher to warrant high juice.
