Now we need Lauer to settle in immediately attack the zone, avoid walks, and keep Schwarber and Harper from getting a cheap early homer. A clean first from him would let the game breathe

Kaufee has a really good eye for baseball. I know he doesn’t post much anymore because he’s busy enjoying life on the yacht, but I’ll admit I felt a little better knowing he had the Dodgers circled after yesterday’s debacle. I’ve been around a long time, and he’s always been a very good baseball handicapper. Hopefully he comes around later and gives us an update

Hahah of course. The second you typed it, the Phillies jumped out 2-0.
Not ideal, but this is exactly why we stayed with the full game. Lauer needs to stop the bleeding at two, and now the Dodgers have eight innings to get into Nola and that Phillies bullpen. No panic yet, but we need the offense to wake up and start making Nola work.

I use an old-school sportsbook that runs Monday through Sunday, with pay and collect due no later than Wednesday. I’m just being honest—I can’t even remember the last time I had to pay, but this week I’m definitely sitting in the red.
