Couple thoughts

LA Dodgers @ Philadelphia

San Diego @ Atlanta

Washington @ Colorado

Miami @ Houston

Cincinnati @ Seattle

I’ve circled a few early games that have my attention. It’s still a way-too-early look, but these are the matchups I’m staring at right now.

Phillies -130 full game with Wheeler at home, I have no problem with it… Circled 

Atlanta has the clear edge with Lopez against a struggling Buehler, plus a major advantage at the plate ATL 1H ATL ML Circled 

Washington and the over because both starters have been getting hit, the game is at Coors and the setup points to plenty of runs with value on the Nationals side IMO

Miami First 5 because Phillips has been the steadier starter, while Imai has struggled badly with runs and walks. Back the better early pitching matchup without dealing with Houston’s bullpen

Cincinnati First 5 and ML because Burns has been excellent, while Castillo has struggled and given up too much damage lately

These are just a few 6 AM circles, nothing serious yet. Just a couple matchups that caught my eye early, pre-coffee and pre-lineup

Good morning Truck I paid the juice yesterday on f5 I always do I know it’s not the smart thing to do but then again I’m not dropping a 1000 per game so I pushed and hit the fg so good luck today with the capping dodge them bullets

Buehler is probably not truly a 5.36 ERA pitcher. He is more like a 4.30 to 4.60 ERA pitcher right now, but with major blowup potential because he does not miss enough bats and his fastball gets hit hard

Short Card 

In his two July starts, Castillo allowed 14 hits, six earned runs and three homers over 11 innings. 

Bottom line  Castillo is probably closer to a mid-4.00 ERA pitcher than a true 4.93, but the underlying numbers do not point toward a major rebound either.

I agree 100%. Philadelphia is struggling to make the short card, but it is still circled and definitely worth revisiting
