We need Arrighetti working hard right away. Long counts, deep atbats, and something in that 18–25 pitch range in the 1st would be a good sign, even if Tampa does not score

Tampa got a hit from Yandy.
No strikeouts.
No runners left on base, so they did not waste a big chance.
Top of the order at least made contact

Martinez has to throw strikes early. No leadoff walk, no free traffic in front of Yordan/Paredes/Walker

20 pitches is not perfect, but scoreless through Houston’s top half is fine

It’s still early. Arrighetti has looked comfortable so far, but we’re not involved in the first five. This is a fullgame ticket, so we let it breathe.

Now we need Martinez to stay sharp, keep Houston off the board, and give the Rays offense time to get another look at Arrighetti.
