Couple thoughts

Wacha being at a low pitch count compared to Martin already sitting around 40 is not exactly the script i wanted.

The whole idea was to make Wacha work and get into that Kansas City bullpen sooner than normal.

But it is what it is. Man on first now.

Martin has had to work, but he kept the board clean. That matters. Now this is where Chicago needs to start flipping the script a little bit

This FKN kid Wacha is not unhittable.

Top 5 game plan is simple

Martin needs one more clean inning.

He’s already at 71 pitches, so we do not need any shit. We need

No leadoff walk
Keep the ball in the yard

Get through this inning at 85 pitches or less

Holy shit, they did leave Wacha in.

He’s at 91 pitches now 63 strikes / 28 balls  so he is absolutely on fumes

First and second, two outs, bottom 8, 1-1, Wacha over 100 pitches  this is insane 

they rode Wacha until the absolute last second.

That tells you everything KC did not want this bullpen exposed, but Chicago finally forced their hand one time
