That's it for the plays of the day folks. Yes, only 2 games out of this entire board, but it's better to bet 2 winners than select a bunch of games that may or may not cash. However, if 2 games doesn't satisfy your tastebuds then lay a little bit of money on the Reds today -152. Morton has been a overachiever for the Pirates and Arroyo should keep the Reds offense in the game long enough to etch out a win. I also am leaning towards the Indians tonight as a dog +110 vs Peavy and the CWS. Just back from injury, I'm not sure he can handle that offense right now so if Masterson pitches like he has most of this year, the Indians pull this one out.
The last two plays are not necessarily ones to bet but for those who don't know much about the next wave of future stars in MLB, pay attention to the Royals and Braves tonight, who both throw their top pitching prospects. KC faces TX so talk about a real test here for Duffy's first pro start. In AAA he had a low era and above a 9 k/9 so I'm interested to see if that translates here vs. TX. KC is +127 if you choose to ride w/ the top 30 prospect, I'm not saying to do so, all I'm saying is keep your eyes peeled for a budding star in his pro debut....Atlanta also throws out their top pitching prospect tonight vs the Diamondbacks. Teheran is the top pitching prospect in all of MLB and this is his 2nd start in the pros. His last start was decent but he had control issues. I'm guessing he'll settle down in this start and do a lot better. Atlanta at -115 is actually a decent bet here.
Hope you all appreciate my lengthy write=up here. Some days I'll have time for write-ups and others I wont, but I'll try my best to put winning plays on here almost every single day and keep my hit percentage at or above 80% for the best in the business.

did you really say in all that jibberish your going to hit 80 percent or better for baseball on the year?
1-5 last night have a long haul to get back to 80 now and its impossible to hit that number if you play all year no matter how good or how much luck you are or have

Hey Chef, if you read correctly, I didn't even release 5 plays last night. After the 1st paragraph (in which I split 1 win 1 loss) I said that's it for the plays of the day folks. I then went on to give a couple more plays to take if 2 weren't enough but they weren't strong plays by any means and I thought I made that clear. The other two were games I alerted ppl on to simply watch these young prospects. All in all, it wasn't a good day for anyone yesterday but if ppl took my words for what they were, they shouldn't have bet anything other than the Brewers and Angels.
Looking to right the ship tonight and uncharacteristically will release more plays than usual; they are as follows:
NYY -159 - Yanks looking better as of late, CC will get back to normal
LAA -135 - Haren has to do what Weaver couldn't last night. Angels need to score at some pt right? Soft-throwing Fister on the mound for the Mariners should warm up those Angels bats
Milw -105 - BrewCrew keeps it up even with hot and cold Narveson on the mound.
Cincy -172 - James McDonald vs. that offense? Enough said
Atlanta -110 - rookie RP turned SP on the mound for the Dbacks w/ a 0 era but Jurrjens is proven and on fire!
Milw/SD over 7 -125 - lowest of the plays but if Brew Crew does their job vs. harang this will be an easy cash
