Another one bites the dust and no A.L. East team in the A.L.D.S. this year. I can live with that. If the Phillies lose there will be no Eastern time zone teams the rest of the way. TV scheduling will be a bitch and we will experience just how much the tube owns and controls sports. Central and Western games could start at a nice and early since MLB will not pass on ad revenue from East Coast prime time. Two more elimination games today so let's get our shit together and get some opinions up here.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, some genius decided that baseball would be the most competitive of all professional sports and leave little margin for error on the part of sports bettors. He decided that unlike NHL, NBA and NFL, baseball would be a marathon grind and only the most deserving would get to play in the championship rounds. Only eight of thirty would survive the marathon and those eight should be respected. Unfortunately in this day and age of hero worship many folks have decided that certain teams have as much edge in major league championship play as the Little League World Champions would have over their own pathetic local team. Grantland Rice was right, "on any given day......" and that is what we have today, a random given day. The betting public, of course, is backing their favorite teams with home field advantage, to the extent that the perception has exceeded the reality. Either may win or lose, that is just the nature of the beast, but if you like both home teams you must be right on both to turn a profit. Not so with the dogs, where one correct pick assures a profit on the day, and that is the name of the game. They are worth it.

Arizona I can buy. Going with the Cardinals i won't. Sorry it's just not going to happen. If Phillies is gone you can kiss all TV viewership out the window because no one will care. Sorry to say but Pujols just isn't a good enough story for MLB. Besides i think if Roy Holliday wins today he has locked up the cy-young. Not fair but so is life.
Oh by the way since I am taking the day off from making picks in MLB i thought I should give you this:
Fresno St +21.5 BIG HUGE MASSIVE POUNDING by me. If I had a ML I would put it on that as well. I promise you Boise might score more than Fresno, and maybe just maybe they score 3 TD's more, but no way do they reach 21 points more. Special teams is 1/3 of a team and these 2 FG kickers for them is brutal. They suck and will kill spreads for Boise backers. No one wants to believe me but just watch.

All I know is I had Det.yesterday, you 2 chicken out as usual because you thought the Yankees were going to win,LOL
Milk.sure is a hell of a home team, not sure its a big enough line on Ari.to play them, thought it would be in the high 140s,Roy in last month of season was losing gamesnever did make 20 wins,Cards again for me.
That Ump in yesterday game sucked imo,he changed the strike zone on every hitter, sometimes high ones were strikes and he called a ball on one of the best pitches of the game.Up Down he went, nothing the same.
