Which Sportsbook actually comps future rooms

Im sure this has been asked plenty but i have looked through the forum and not really seen a definite list of sportsbooks that give room comps, iv had trouble finding this info as i went last month and bet around $15,000 but all in aria and they offered nothing but drink tickets. i plan on going at the end of jan and then would like to have some kind of comp for a future trip in march. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks guys

$15,000 is 1/2 of one decent bet at Bellagio, Aria, Mirage and Mandalay Bay....Both MGM Resorts and Caesars/Harrahs don't consider that worth anything....Bet $15,000 in their racebooks and you should be able to get..about...$500 in comps, which you apply to your room or charges.

But, sportsbook $$$ does not really get you anything anymore....It can, if you are a decent player in the casino, provide some backup for your host if you want something extra...like show tickets or a dinner....But, on its own, it doesn't get you anything...and, once again...15dimes is a lot to you...but chump change to these guys.

Is it possible to even get comps from the sportsbooks?  I heard it does not matter how much you bet you will never receive a comp from playing in the sportsbook.

At the Hilton and Palms you can put your comps towards a hotel room, but they won't just outright comp you a room. Depending on how much you wager it's basically good to eat off of and entertainment if they have any that interest you.

MGM/Bellagio/Mirage and the rest that are affiliated with them won't comp you at all.  They may ask if you have a player card if you're wanting to place a large wager, but approval will be needed, and your card won't be credited any comps with bets that are placed on sports.

thanks guys. even if its not a full room comp for future visits, $100-200 is better than nothing. its a $100 i can put towards the plane ticket, etc

i also talked to planet hollywood and they comp somewhat but i have read that they do not offer high betting limits(above 500)??

I've only placed one bet at PH, not because I dislike the place, but because I prefer other places.  The bet I had was Philly/Washington two years ago for a Monday Night game and I had 1k on it (won by the way). So, PH does take over the limit bets, but it just depends on the game, and it'll probably need to be approved.

Once again, you get nothing for sportsbetting....but it can be an all-encompassing card that might give you something for your other MGM-related $$$ spent.

I appreciate your contributions to this forum.  Thanks for all your input.  My question for you is how many 30k bets (and higher) do the casinos you mentioned take in an average weekend?  I actually assumed a 5 or 10k bet was considered a large wager.  Thanks again

You will need to exchange your old card for a new one to receive all the bennies....

bad....depends on the sportsbook....betting under $5000 to cash under $10K, keeps you anonymous.....A "large bet" is much, much more.....The $2million moneyline bet on the Colts last year....NOW that was a LARGE bet!!

if you're betting this big money, why would you need comps.

So overall if you bet sports forget about comps.

At the casinos affiliated with the MGM you won't get any.

If you want comps just for the hell out of it, swipe your card, and they'll eventually add up depending on the amount your wagers are.

At the Palms and Hilton you can use it on food, entertainment, and hotels.  The Palms offers a wide variety of concerts, so if you have enough comp money, you can just purchase a hot show, and sell the tickets if you want to pocket the case.

I like to use my comps on buffets for family an friends who come to town. I save money, they save money, and I get to treat them. 

Its even becoming impossible to get free drinks in the sportsbooks anymore.

 

yeah it's fucking bullshit. doesn't make any sense. spend 200 on bets get 1 drink ticket. spend 2 bucks on a horse race get 2 tickets???? fuck vegas

Let me give you the "short version" answer....

The sportsbook is one business and the racebook is a separate business.

When you bet sports, you are betting against the house's money; when you bet horses, the house gets a percentage of your bet, funnels the rest to the racetrack, and pays off winners with racetrack money...no risk for the house at all and a percentage of every dollar bet goes to the house.

If you ran each business, which one would you want more business from and which one would you comp your bettors on?

To get a free buffet, you are looking at over $25,000 wagered on sports.....You can get the same buffet for $500-700 on racing.

I am not really a horse bettor.  Could anyone tell me is 500-700 a lot to wager on horses or is that a small amount that most people can do?

500-700 is a lot for the horses in my opinion... such a crap shoot

if you are betting 15K in wagers....I would not worry too much about 100 or 200 off a flight....you obviously have decent coin to be betting that much unless your betting 50 on 300 plays or something...

I'm far from being an expert when it comes to the horses. A great deal of the casinos have the same horse players that arrive daily just to put a dollar or two for each play.  Those guys are most likely there just for the drink(s).

$500-$700 is a great deal of money for one horse bet. I've personally never seen someone make a bet that like, but that's only from observing, and glancing at peoples tickets.
