Can't Remember the Covers Member Who

Made a comment about One Caroline who races in tomorrow's 4th race @ Gulfstream. The member's comment was "this one is a beast." I made that note in my stable & have been waiting for One Caroline to run again. It's been 6 months & the recent works are so-so.
 
Anyway I've attached a copy of tomorrow's race so you all can take a look for yourself.

I took a look and I wouldn't pay attention to the layoff factor, I don't even consider that anymore, so, I'd add #8 to your #10, good luck.

They took out the #1 & #6, shouldn't affect the race at all, and yes, I can see  your #5 giving them a run for their money too, should be a good priced race payoff, there sure as hell shouldn't be anything odds on unless they have a stable bet going and know/see something that we don't, later.

One Caroline won by 4-5 lengths @ 3/2.  I opened this just as the race finished.  Oh well.

Wow, I can't believe such a shitty price, and my #8 finished next to last, weird race, glad I stayed out of it, Midnight, you were right on the money but judging by the past performances, I think you got hosed, that horse should have paid at least 2-1, like I said, they saw what you saw and bet with both hands, good pick, later.

I'll stake claim to the One Caroline watch. I saw her pop her maiden at Churhhill and new she was special.

I'm glad you paid attention to my entry way back when. Obviously she is still in top form after the long lay off and I'll look for her to continue her dominance. Unfortunately there are many others backing her.

Another beast in the making is Bird Island out of Birdstone. Came from the clouds to finish second in her first race. I'll be watching this new crop from Birdstone closely.

The thread about One Caroline was in something about the spa. I'll repost it. Good luck Midnight in all your future wagers and I always enjoy your insight.

Let me share with you something I heard on HRTV this morning. There was a gelding Salute the Count that won a 50k claimer @ Gulfstream yesterday. It was a 5F race & he battled in the stretch to win by a head. I think he paid $5 & change. The interesting aspect of this race is that Salute the Count is 9 years old & was claimed by trainer Michael Maker for Ken & Sarah Ramsey. When asked why they paid 50k for a 9 yr old, Ken Ramsey stated that there's a stakes race opening day @ Churchill & he wants to race Salute the Count in it. The Ramseys are "old school" owners who love & take care of their animals. They are in it for the love of the sport & of course they have the bucks to make a move such as this. So watch for Churchill's opening day & maybe we'll see this oldtimer pick up another check.

Thanks for the tip on Salute the Count.
 
I'm a big fan of the Ramsey's and Maker combo as well. They have been on fire here at my home track, Turfway Park.
I'll be looking forward to putting some action on the old Count in the future.
Best of luck and I'll post again if I see any future diamonds in the polytrack/dirt/turf.
