Cops can't get into fist fights with people. The reason is if the person he is fighting gets the upper hand the person can get the pistol. If someone is coming after a cop, knowing the cop has his side arm, then the cop has to fire upon the person.

It's interesting that this kid and Trayvon had marijuana in their systems....wonder if they were high at the time of the incidents.
Lot of advocates to legalize pot because it doesn't kill people like alcohol....or does it?

I also get a laugh when the "reverends" say the black neighborhoods should be patrolled by black cops. The fact if the matter is there are not enough black cops for that to happen because not that many blacks are cops to begin with.

Six shots to the right arm / torso area...

And you felt you STILL had to fire two more KILL Head Shoots while the kid was going down.

    MURDERER!!!

You stupid f u c k.  Since when are you the arbiter of how many shots are required to protect yourself from a 6-4 300 lb animal?

Was he supposed to shoot once and wait?

I think cops are trained to shoot 2 chest one head (center mass). So that's a mandatory 3 rounds. Add 300 pounds and 6 is required, especially when your eye is smashed in.

    Raider would know.

rather than 6 shots, (which it took all of them to drop him) would people feel better had the police only fired one fatal shot to the head? This point about 6 shots being excessive is absurd...hell, when the ones to the arm didn't stop him, what was he supposed to do?  hard to figure peoples sense of reasoning

Time to move to Belize. You obviously have lost all your rationalizing capabilities.

The correct answer is anywhere from 0 to empty the clip. In this case, 6 was the correct number. Since you werent there playing the game, you can only assume......

    Bon voyage.

He might go to jail to appease certain people, but that doesnt mean hes guilty.

Haha!  No I don't know. I was just quoting what the experts and trainers all say.
I will say it seems excessive to me.  They say most cops never have to fire their gun at all in their career.  But if this was the first time he had to fire and coupled with being attacked and knocked loopy, he may have just kept on firing. Not saying that is right or wrong, just saying. Also, if he was only winging him and the guy kept coming maybe he felt he had to fire again to stop him.

Again, reasoning has nothing to do with it. They didn't want the guy shot at all, they didn't want the guy to be told to get on the sidewalk, they didn't want the cop to look at him, they didn't even want the cop in the neighborhood.

Mankind did fine for 2 million years w/o cops. Only in the past few hundred years did police come into existence, and they were all to protect the rich and maintain the class systems.

In other words, only recent pussified man has deemed them necessary.
