Rick Santorum's Chances

Does this cat have a shot?  Is he letting the other two beat themselves up and keeping close enough to steal this election on Super Tuesday? Maybe? Or will he fade off into the sunset like Huntsman and Perry?

Unfortunately not. I really like the guy but he's not dramatic enough for the fucking bullshit media to grasp on to.

Santorum has as much of a chance to be the Republican candidate as Saddam has to be Iraq's next dictator or Osama Bin Laden to become an American.  Zero.

The press owns these debates, they don't let Santorum or Paul get very much airtime.

It not about winning or losing for Santorum.  He wants to accumulate delegates for horse trading at the convention.  Delegates are bargaining chips for shaping the Republican platform and can even help Santorum secure a cabinet appointment.

Goose has it right.  Santorum and Paul are both trying to get enough delegates to use to their advantage at the Republican National Convention.  Paul's camp even recently came out and said as much.

He isn't on the ballot in a bunch of states either. At least Ron Paul is on the ballot n all 50

I like his no nonsense ways but that's too scary

but he did point out that black people had a more stable family environment during slavery, so that should help with the religious right.

you can't be serious. he would turn the United States into a Christian versious of Iran. he and Rick Perry are religious fanatics every bit as dangerous as any Taliban.

His chances are zip, zilch, cero , nada.

With that said I actaully like him from a personal level.

give the guy credit for something he gets correct, he wants to zero out income taxes for manufacturing, which is an intelligent position to take

I haven't been around these boards for too long, but why are you trying to race bait in every single post?  Were you posting snide comments like this when Obama was going to a racist church for 10 (maybe 20?) years? If you are fair, that is one thing, but my guess is you are an all out partisan.

He has some appeal now because he's a bit different.  But when it comes right down to it, the US will never elect someone with as much "zeal" for religion as he has.  They just won't.  

It's Romney v. Obama.  Let's just get on with it already.  9 more months of this B.S.

don't worry, santorum is going away. the guy is an absolute freakshow.  the best thing he could do would be to come out of the closet.
