Hey guys, I was wondering how many people that are married or you know that are married and truly happy. It seems alot of people that are married just do it for the kids, finances, I just want to know from people on here what they think about marriage.

I'm not married and have no intention of getting married ever

I just know it most probably wouldn't work out and being single I can move to wherever,live and work where I want,spend my money on what I want and generally live a content lifestyle without having a wife and kids draining my paycheck every week

I'm guessing 5% or lower are truly happy, me included.

It would have to be greater then 5 percent. I'm married and happy with that part of my life. I know many that are. Although I was happy being single as well. I think the ones who are unhappy choose to be unhappy.

We just celebrated 21 years. Marriage is not for everybody, and that's OK. Follow your heart and don't try to fake anything. Married or not, there is no such thing as being happy all the time. Life is full of ups and downs and you have to roll with the punches. That way at least you can be happy most of the time.

I’m married and happy. I have two wives though, mary jane and my wife.

Everything’s good for me. Sometimes I get frustrated because I want to stick my penis in other chicks and I can’t but other than that its been gravy. That only happens when my balls are full, so I get my wife to blow my load as much as possible. I got married because she never bored me. I’m happy and comfortable and she's my fantasy so I'm gonna stay with her till I die.

unless ur wife is like j damon's wife, i bet she wants it all the time.

i think some couples are happy, truly happy. i'd say 40%... it always wears off. imagine like working at a really good sushi place, sure u get some cool people coming in from time to time and u get free food, but its kinda boring in the long run. ok that was a bad analogy.

u just gotta keep working at marriage. the rate of divorce keep climbing. hefner has it good.

Married 31 years. I can't imagine a life without a family to share it with. Roller coaster ride at times but it is what you put into it.

I've been married 36 years and I have never been unhappy about it. There have been times that have been better than others during those years but looking back there's no way I'd want to have done it alone.

We come from a generation where both partners pull in the same direction economically so now approaching 60 the house is paid, our daughter is long out of college and on her own, we don't owe anyone anything and we have money in the bank for the final stretch.

There's something to be said about having different women on your arm but the trade off is the security in knowing you can do something fairly stupid (and I've done some stupid things) and still have support.

If you cannot respect one another under every circumstance, then you will struggle. If you can, life's pretty good.

Look, Iv been married 7 years

first marriage for me, first for the wife

We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter.

You ask me if there are no problems ever?

Ofcourse there are, But overall we have many more good times than bad.

Marriage to me is the ultimate game of of compromise to another

She compromises to you sometimes

You have to compromise to her sometimes

You cant get it your way everytime

And she better not be getting it her way everytime.

Its compromise

If you cant compromise, never get married and god forbid, never produce offspring, you will be unhappy and make everyone around you unhappy.

This formula works for me also... I can really relate...

hard for people who are not married to understand it tho...

I think that being married actually helps with hard times... when you are dating you always wonder if you should break up... being married takes that off the table mentally and allows you to endure...
