joe minimizes everything, which may have been his ultimate problem.  he wants no attention to him and was upset when they put on a statue on campus because of him.  he wanted it taken down!

sure he's got an ego, show me a male who doesn't, especially a successful, rich, educated one.  but until now, no one has ever had a bad word to say about him as a human being or the young men he consistently has graduated.

unfortunately for his haters, he will beat this cancer the doctors say, as easily as he has beat 409 different football teams.

may god bless him...and you too to stop the hatred you have in your blood.

It's not about Joe. It's about the victims. Sports takes a backseat to real life.

Imagine having to live with the fact that you turned your back on something that you knew was going down and a bunch of very young kids in need were sexually abused? Thats awful. Joe Paterno has a lot to think about.

Dont you think thats enough involvement?  even joe pa pa, said he should have done more, right there should all you need to know about joe pa pa. The guy is a creep who fooled and brainwashed people for years with that pbhony good guy act.

Honestly am quite shocked by your post

You probably wouldn’t be shocked if you saw the thread where darkhorse was ranting about how a random adult placing a small bet on a football game has the same effect on a child as a pedophile sodomizing them and forcing them to perform oral sex on him.

He truly is a sick and demented individual.

Yup, that’s what this whole thing is about.

A good hearted old man who always did the right thing and the vile haters who want him to die for no reason.

It’s not about the fallout of an egomaniac putting the good name (no longer) of his football program ahead of children being sexually abused by his friend in his locker room and his decision to look the other way while more boys were raped by his longtime friend and then people’s general indifference to him having cancer.

Your avatar might explain your delusion.

Dont you think thats enough involvement?  even joe pa pa, said he should have done more, right there should all you need to know about joe pa pa. The guy is a creep who fooled and brainwashed people for years with that pbhony good guy act.

Honestly am quite shocked by your post

You're shocked because I won't condemn a person whose involvement hasn't been determined yet? Or you're shocked because I won't believe the news media's innuendos like other media sheep? You think that Paterno and Sandusky are the greatest of pals? I'm sure that Sandusky "retired" because they were the greatest of friends. As for letting Sandusky keep an office on campus I believe that was the university's  decision as I don't think Paterno owns any buildings on campus.

Actually he said "He wished I'd have done more" That's a pretty vague statement.

You ever turn in a union brother for commiting a crime? Did you go to the police or your supervisor?Did you have protocol for reporting wrongdoings in your department?

Just what was his involvement in this scandal?(if you or anyone else on here knows, other than speculation, why didn't you go to the cops or testify at the grand jury hearing)

Im not defending anyone but I won't condemn anyone till I get all the facts either.

Joe Paterno might be as deluded as some of these hardcore Penn State homers that believe he did absolutely nothing wrong.

It seems pretty much the only people backing him in this terrible situation are the hardcore Penn State homers and/or people that say things that lead a reasonable person to believe they might be pedophiles or pedophile enthusiasts.

i have yet to say he is innocent.  do i think he should have stepped down? yes....do i think the way the university fired him was callous?  yes..was he going to retire anyway after this season? yes..has he lost it as a coach? yes

the only thing that you knuckleheads cant understand that i have said is let's wait til more facts come out in regards to what Joe Paterno knew. That is all!!!

I have a hard time believing he received the whole story from McQueary so i dont want to crucify the old man like you have.  What's wrong with that?  Mcqueary is not a guy who can be trusted at this point.  I am fully aware of all the good he has done for my alma mater over 60 years and am fully aware of how well he has carried himself over the years.  Will it be tarnished if he knew more? Yes, without a doubt and I will never forget it and let god judge him when his time comes.

Over and over and over with same stuff.  What cracks me up is you act like I think Paterno is 100 percent innocent here, when that is the furthest from the truth.  I dont know what he is and I cannot wait to find out.

    speculative, but what a shame.

try this.  my parents neighbor who was a township trustee, trw exec, father of 3, church volunteer was caught in a sting in ohio two years ago meeting a 12 year old girl at a park.  i always thought the guy was a little creepy, but nice.  i always said he's a little too into god but my parents seemed to like him.

anyway point is, now do i wish i knew the real story and in hindsight wish i could have done more and reported him to police as a pedo? Absolutely.  But its awfully hard to just call the cops and say something about what you "think" or "hear" from someone else. i am sure joe feels similar regret but it is speculative on my part to know anything else other than assumptions that he "must" have known or "should" have known there were ass rapings going on or sandusky was molesting kids for 20 some years.  of course, like his statement, in hindsight joe wishes he did more, what human being would not?  everyone hangs on to the grand jury summary we all got to read, but it clearly states mcqueary said "horseplay" and wrestling or fooling around.  Nothing in there stated he told joe there was a clear raping.

i have another story too but computer is gonna die so we will catch up tomorrow.

I guess you say so many idiotic things it’s hard to keep track of them all.

"Have to laugh at this thread. So much morality. A few questions to all you so called "moral" fucks, when was the last time you called the cops when you drove drunk or you saw someone that to much to drink and leave driving? Or you called the cops when you saw a co-worker pocket something that belonged to the company you work for? Or witnessed any crime and didn't call the cops? Or bet with a local bookie? Now you all will say that these crimes don't compare to what went on at PSU but the fact is there are still crimes and you have a "moral" ob ligation to report it. It's always easy to talk about someone elses moral while ignoring your own."

Now point out where I said  how a random adult placing a small bet on a football game has the same effect on a child as a pedophile sodomizing them and forcing them to perform oral sex on him.

Then after you got called out you tried to justify it:

“type "effects of gambling on children" into your browser, if you now how. I thought for a person with so much self proclaimed inteligence and psycic ability you would have seen the connection.”

“Sorry that you think $100 bet doesn't mean much but to some families it is a lot. But I don't believe I've ever seen you make a pick so I can understand why betting shouldn't seem like a problem to you. By the way shouldn't you be e-mailing all those sites and telling them how wrong they are? Might take you awhile seems there are only 20+million sites according to google.”

After reading all the sick shit you were posting about how an adult placing a bet on a sporting event has the same effect on a child as sexual abuse I responded with:

“I think most decent people here would agree that anyone who claims a random adult placing a $100 bet on a football game has the same effect on a child as a pedophile sodomizing them and forcing them to perform oral sex on him has some serious issues and a broken moral compass.

    Get some help, darkhorse12.

Also you should stay the hell away from children because with a broken moral compass no good can come of it.”

    You replied:

“Since you deem yourself to be so intelligent how about you rebutting me with facts. Maybe if you look into your crystal ball you can come up with something.”

Then you went on to add:

“type "effects of gambling on children" into your browser, if you now how. I thought for a person with so much self proclaimed inteligence and psycic ability you would have seen the connection.”

Again: a random adult placing a bet on a sporting event does NOT have the same effect on a child as a pedophile sodomizing them and forcing them to perform oral sex on him.

    Get help you sick fuck.

the only thing that you knuckleheads cant understand that i have said is let's wait til more facts come out in regards to what Joe Paterno knew.

    And there it is.

I have been following the story fairly closely and, IMO, at least one of the following must be true:

1). Joe Paterno is mentally retarded and the last 5 decades have been a charade.

2). Joe Paterno went severely senile over a decade ago.

3). Joe Paterno went insane over a decade ago.

4). The most powerful man in the history of Penn State wasn’t really the one in charge of the football program.

5).  Paterno knew what Sandusky was and not only went along with the cover up (or at least turned a blind eye to it), but allowed the monster to remain around the program up until about a week before his arrest this month putting protecting the good name of his beloved school ahead of protecting little children his friend was raping.

If that’s all you have as an argument you should just quit while you’re behind and save yourself further embarrassment.

But then you have shown you aren’t very smart so maybe you will keep making an ass of yourself and give the rest of us something to laugh at.

Keep living in your delusional little world buddy.  Trying to correlate how intelligent another poster is with whether you like their opinions is hilarious. But because I disagree with you, I guess I've shown that I'm not very smart.  Let me guess, you think I too have an IQ of 75.  I'm a big boy, I can handle your opinions.

I made my post to show you how ridiculous your little tactic of nit picking someone's statement is.  In pure Straight Shooter style, I still challenge you to show me where Joe Paterno announced he had cancer.  And no, his son making that statement is a lot different than him making that statement in the context of your post, so no, I'm not going to let you just brush that mistake aside and say it changes nothing in this context.

The only thing that I'm embarrassed about is that I can't seem to avoid being dragged into arguments with someone as angry and as obtuse as you.  It has become my guilty little pleasure, and you are right, I am embarrassing myself over that fact

Oh no, I said Paterno announced it when it was his spokesperson son who announced it.  Well, that completely changes everything.

As I recall you started shooting your mouth off, but when challenged to back up your bullshit you claimed you had better things to do and limped off with your tail between your legs.

    I guess you’re still bitter.

Judging from the posts you’ve made in these Penn State threads one would think you would be use to making an ass of yourself by now.

    Keep at it, kid.
