But the ending to the story is those kids are fine......Just as any story of anyone who has  pot in thier system 

I hate how these media fucks used the word HOSPITALIZED to over exaggerate the effects of what happend,,,,Buts whats new

even if the bill passes, since the turn of the century the power of states rights has decreased and the strong hold dictatorship of federal/executive has taken its grasp...

Wait... how did eating pot cookies poison kids?  If anything I would have guessed they would have been healthier, smarter, more productive, plus a whole slew of other positive effects

alcohol has ruined more lives than all drugs combined. prohibition was the birth of organized crime. somebody is making way too much money keeping weed illegal so i fear it will never be totally decriminalized. there is no way the weed is any worse than alcohol and thats just a fact

Drugs, alcohol are all bad dude. You can't just say one is worse than the other...it's all bad.

Those liberals in california are ruining that state. The U.S. government is fighting a war on drugs which includes pot and the knuckleheads in california want to legalize pot...dumb!!...real dumb!!

The War on Drugs is a complete failure.  All it has done is put money into criminal's hands.  Mexican Cartels are relevant because of the War on Drugs.  If you legalize what they are making money off of you will be taking money out of their pockets and putting it into our economy.  Sounds pretty intelligent to me.

Not to mention it also fills our jails with people who shouldn't be there... but wait a minute.. i forgot the same people who are fighting the legalization are the same ones who own the jails.. more government money for them,  so they make money taking payoffs then they get paid on the back end as well,, hmmmm.. i'd rather worry about gay marriage,and how many bullets i can buy at one time.  the same assholes complaining about being taxed too much seem to be the same ones being paid by the american tax dollar

imo it didnt poison them,they just couldnt handle the high and tripped out to bad,why arent you posting about the thousands of kids that proably drank to much the other weekend and got alcohol poisning???

Ahh the good old fallback "alkie and cigs are allowed, so lets legalize another substance which has addictive qualities and destroys the body"

I guess we should legalize meth too, tax it and everything will be a-ok.

I see what you are saying and it is a fairly weak argument but to compare alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana to meth is just as ridiculous.  There are far more problems related to meth, not just to the body but society, than marijuana.  When was the last time you heard of somebody on marijuana committing a violent crime? Or overdosing?  Worst case scenario the pot addict sits on his couch all day.  They are not running the streets committing crimes and ruining society at the rate of your meth, cocaine, and heroin addicts.  All the information on any drug is out there.  If a person wants to willingly do that to their bodies who am I to tell them no?

The drugs on war is not a failure. Those criminals might have money but it doesn't go a long way for them, I mean they're killing each other off by the tens of thousands which includes their leaders. A lot of their money gets confiscated by the authorities.

Lastly go give your argument to the Attorney General who doesn't think it's a wise idea. He is telling california they better not legalize pot or else face legal issues with the U.S. government.

To answer your question PLENTY.  Someone high on marijuana committing a violent crime?  I have seen many kids fight when high on marijuana.  I have also heard of plenty people driving high and crashing their cars.  

In college you never saw anyone have a few beers and smoke up and fight?  I am sure you have!  But I am sure it was 100% the booze.

Plenty of violence and crime breaks out over marijuana

I consider meth to be a step above pot, but there are similarities just as there are similarities to cigs and pot.

The point is that the argument is absurd.

Pot CAN have qualities which can inhibit behavior, people do use pot and do other things than just sit on the couch.

And to answer the last comment, no I dont think people should be able to do things that destroy their body if they want, especially if there is a direct and indirect tax on society by those using it..if you smoke pot you are becoming a drain on the healthcare system.

My comments are about POT, not about other things which also have similar issues, just pot.

People get into fights for reasons outside of drug use.  Drinking alcohol and smoking weed does make a person go out and want to fight somebody it is other factors involved.  

I was comparing it to the fact that your typical meth, heroin, and cocaine addicts are involved in many more crimes than your alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana users.  People are not running into homes and sticking people up to get their weed fix.  That is your meth, coke, and H addict.
