I opened up an account with BetED two weeks ago and started playing NCAAB games. This morning, I sent in my Bank Account Verification information forms as I was hoping to start receiving payouts. Within an hour of receiving a notice from their accounting department that they had received my information, I got that wonderful notification that I was no longer allowed to wager more than $1 on all college basketball bets. Granted, it was not until AFTER I opened my account and started placing bets that I found out this had happened to other bettors.
The customer service rep. I spoke with told me that there was "no reason" why they placed restrictions on my bets, but that it was simply a "management decision." I asked to speak with a manager, but "Fred" told me that the managers were in meetings all day and night, but I could send them an email.
My question is:
1. Is my money still safe with them for the time being? My plan is to just wait it out, receive my payouts, then join the ranks of BetED bashers.
2. Are there any other sportsbooks that place such limits on bets?
3. Is it a consensus that 5dimes, The Greek, BetJamaica, anb Bookemaker are the only "legit" online sportsbooks?

I'll keep people posted if I incur anymore problems. I don't even consider the cut-off to be a problem, but I did find it peculiar that it happened soon after I sent in all documents needed for a payout. Seems that people are pretty divided around here as to good v. bad experiences.

Same thing happened to me a few months back. I had one great weekend and they shut me down. However, I had all of my documentation sent to them and they paid out rather quick. I believe I recieved all of my bank wires within 10 days or so. GL

I deposited $500 and have a balance of a little under $4,000 as of this morning. I would have started to cash out at $2,000, but I'm not eligible until the 9th of February. The wagering restrictions are never lifted, either. So, even if I wanted to reload after I cash out, I'll never be able to wager more than $1.00 on college basketball.
