Anyone use Western Union? Have a few questions.

I had a few questions about WU as I wanted to start using 5dimes.

I can go to a gas station that has western union and get a card for X amount of money? I then enter the info on 5dimes and that $ is in my account?

Is that how it works. Are there any fees or is it that easy?

no you need to get a name from 5dimes to sent it to through western union, then call western union and give them the reciever info and how much you plan on sending or if they have the forms right in the gas station fill out the info 5 dimes gives u and have the person at the gas station send it through western union. fees on westernunion are redic but if u send more than 250 5dimes covers all fees

From my experience, I always go to a Western Union location and pay cash. To use Western Union, you need to contact your book and receive info on a receiver. It will usually be 3 names, a first name...first last name...and second last name. (A lot of these foreign countries you'll be sending to have 2 last names) and they'll tell you what country you'll be sending to. There's usually a fee associated to with sending so plan for it.

Personally easiest method for me, is a prepaid card. I have 3 different ones I use. One has no load limit, the other 2 do.

Use Moneygram instead, but before you do, have you tried using your debit card to deposit?  I was never able to use my debit card at 5Dimes, and now for some reason i can...
