I saw this guy at my grocery store today. It's not really a big deal...but I thought it was pretty cool. He was with a few of his teammates but I saw him wearing a UAB sweatshirt and got home and looked up the roster and saw his picture. I only remembered him though because he has dreads.

At first I thought this was the basketball team so I went to check their roster and didn't find anyone. I was gonna fade them tonight if it WAS them because, well, if you're on your way to Florida and you're in my town at 12:30...you've got a long way to go.

I can't believe LeBobs went from "really liking these trades" to countering with Cousins for David Lee.

Sorry to crash your thread guys, but need some quick help...

12 team head to head standard league, non-keeper.

    PG Deron, Nash, Lowry, Teague
    SG Jack, Gordon
    SF Odom, Landry, Jamison
    PF Griffin
    C Gortat, Dalembert, Kaman

Just accepted a trade for Wright and Frye for Odom and Gordon, kind of gambled and bought low there and the fact Gordon is prone to injury. And he only gives me stats in points and treys. Odom doesn't seem motivated and mpg will be limited with Nowitzki and Marion and emergence of Mahinmi.

I have three trade offers on the line, which helps me best?

    Nash for Crash
    Pau for Deron Williams
Or Nash and Dwill for Pau and Crash.

    money league.

That's a tough one. Throw out the last offer, imo.

Nash is often injured, is old, and the Suns coach said earlier in the year that he'll get some days off entirely. But there's no doubting that he's a stud PG who CAN score you points but, more than likely, won't score too much.

As for DWill. He doesn't have much to play for right now. The Nets blow, he may throw a hissy fit at some point and just quit on the team. Or...he may take the team on his shoulders and just take all the shots. But then there's the possibility that Lopez comes back sooner and they can still get Howard. But that's a dream at this point.

Another question would be does Pau get traded to the Magic and does he take it like a man or pout like Odom did? And regardless...he'll be with Bynum who is tearing it up right now. It takes some value away from Pau but he's still a top guy.

I say go with Pau for DWill. He gives you versatility at PF and Center so you should be good there. But that's just me.

But that's just me.

thanks Sparky, I had the same insight.  Nash is solid fantasy-wise but in real life, he's old and may have some off days.  I'm sure his MPG will decline like it has been the last 2 years, and with the compressed season, his PT will even be shorter.

I'm hesitant in trading both my PGs cause that would mean I'm punting assists, and I don't want that.  If I keep one of the PGs I can remain competitive in that category.  I want to move Nash, but I want Pau, cause he's been consistent every year in every category.  But if I trade Nash, I get Crash and I get a solid SF which I currently don't have right now.

This is such a tough decision.  Overall, you don't think the 2 for 2 would be any good, right?

I traded Odom and Gordon for Wright and Frye, think those 2 will bounce back?

I'm in 2nd by a few points. JW1LS just jumped up with Michigan tonight.

And I would like to cry after trading Lowry. For a guy whose made some great trades...this may be the worst trade in our league's history while Roundin made out the best ever.

If I see something about Hamilton for Harper I will fucking kill you.

Gordon should start heating up soon. He's been hurt. However...my concern with him is that I heard he wanted out of New Orleans before the season even started. So who knows how his time in New Orleans will be. But what we do know is that he'll get his minutes.

I do expect Odom to bounce back. He was out of shape and is still trying to get his conditioning up. And he went through a lot with the Lakers and everything. He should get back into the swing of things.

Wright scares me a bit. He had his breakout season last year and now he's starting slow and he only has 1 good season on his track record. He could just be off to a slow start and will heat up soon...but I just can't be too sure.

As for Frye. I like him. Another slow starter who I think will be fine. He just needs to worry about playing his game and not worry about Morris trying to steal his job because he's playing pretty damn well for a rookie.

All in all...I don't like the trade...but that's just my opinion. Like I just said...I traded Lowry for David Lee. I still really like Lee...but Lowry is in full out beast mode.

Lowry's posting close to triple double every night, just wish he would take full control of the team, rather than run plays for Kmart and Scola.  He's more of a pass first guard which I don't like.  I'd rather see some Rose in him.

I basically took a gamble for value with Wright and Frye.  Mark Jackson is really screwing with Wright.  I don't see Gordon contributing in any cats but FT%, points and 3s.  I see more with Frye and Wright if they do heat up and do half of what they produced last year.  Odom just looks unmotivated and not willing to play, plus he's playing behind Dirk and Marion, and Mahinmi is playing better now.  I'm not really into glue guys, but I'm banking on the fact that I bought low.

Also, would you trade Kaman for Dudley?  Probably not huh?

You said yourself that you think Nash is often injured and is old, but yet you suggest I keep him and move Dwill instead?  any reason to this?

    Thanks..

Fuck. Forgot to set my lineups. WOW. I'm so distraught over that Lowry trade I can't think clearly. I blew my season up with that single trade.

No doubt i was going there too. I read "worst trade in our leagues history" and the first thing that popped in my mind does this jackass remember he traded Josh Hamilton for Bryce Harper . Only to find that at the bottom of the post .

Hamilton for Harper, Bumgarner and a first rounder helped me get Granderson and Beltre and I got to the playoffs. If Harper doesn't play next season...than sure...it's a terrible trade. But if Harper becomes the player he's supposed to be...than that's 5 years of a great player. The trade can't be judged until we see what Harper does.

But lets be honest...my trade was horrific.

I'm thinking of just completely changing my team around and going on a fire sale. I can get the trades I want done if I REALLY want to but I don't feel like overpaying at this point.

Sparky its not like you didnt have Hamilton under contract. Understandable if you didnt. So not only does he have to come into the league right away but he has to put up Hamilton numbers for 3 years. I say MAYBE at best you get him in his prime for 2 years IF that. For your sake i hope he is a beast but hate the fact you gave Uriss who already had one of the better teams a top player under contract for multiple years.
