Today 7/2 I picked the first game of the Washington v. Detroit doubleheader. It was accepted when I picked it. Now, it has been voided. The game is being played. It was placed well before the game was started. The pick should be allowed, unvoided ( I know it’s not a word).
Please let me know what happened.

That makes no sense. A game yesterday is not a game today and Covers did put it on board. Now we can't even make another pick until tomorrow. What are you going to do about games that were rained out earlier and scheduled for a later date? Are you going to put those games on the board and then void them?

The games that were rained out yesterday and continued today were also made void. This has always been the case when games are re-scheduled, they would be made void.

The game was rained out and cancelled yesterday and not continued today, but RESCHEDULED for today. There is a difference. You still haven't given an explanation why was the game on the board today if it was VOID? So if someone picked the game yesterday and today they had 2 picks VOIDED? Why didn't you just drop the game off the board like you do when the line moves to much and give us a chance to at least make a pick for today.

Your game, your rules. But while I appreciate the explanation the premise of the voided game rule makes no sense. It wasn't a suspended game. New day, new game. But what you're telling us is that all the postponed games of yesterday were made void though they were able to be picked. There were at least 3 or 4 doubleheaders that caused voids.
It's funny when we pick some games we get this instant message telling us we can't pick the game "due to contest rules". So why would it not come up on these types of games?
The explanation doesn't hold up. But again, your game your rules. OBTW is that somewhere in the rules? I admit to not having read that apparent section.

I'm with Lan7 on this one. Your game, your rules. And I get the Red Sox-Reds game being voided on both 7/1 and 7/2. Can't have people making a play on a suspended game from the day before. But the Mets-Brewers, Phillies-Padres, and Nationals-Tigers games never started on 7/1. Any plays on those games on 7/1 obviously should be voided. But why on 7/2? There was no continuation from the day before. It was a new day, fresh start. Teams could make starting pitcher changes from one day to the next if they so chose. People could evaluate the changes, if there were any, and decide if they wanted to make the play. No disadvantage to anyone. So 1) Why should those games have been voided if they were no different from any of the other games on the board on 7/2 (with the exception of Red Sox-Reds) and 2) if they were not allowed to be played and therefore voided, why were they on the board in the first place?

rodn8r is essentially correct in how these are normally handled. The picks from the previous day 7/1 or up until they finalized pitchers for 7/2 would be made void and the games to be remained open. Unfortunately, with how the system moved these games(which we are looking into) it caused all picks to be moved over to the new 7/2 rescheduled game, thus having to be made void. Since these were all relatively early games, we were unable to re-open them before the game start for you all to re-make the picks.
In general any picks on a re-scheduled game would always be made void, but re-opened when it does become playable again.
