Black screen

Been getting a lot of black screens lately. I have to leave the site 2-4 times before the site loads. IE.

I'm in the baseball forum. Sometimes after leaving the site, I'll click back into Covers and see the black screen on the home page. The last incident took five reentries before the site loaded properly.

Thanks for the feedback. Can we ask where you are located and when you first started experiencing this issue?

Hawaii. It's been off and on for about a month. It first started as a one time  black screen. But in the past 10 days it has become a distraction. I've also experience highlighted information on the contests and matchup pages. It's like when you highlight something so you can copy and paste.

Okay, we did have a brief issue with the highlighted text. If you clear your browser's cache, that should resolve it. As for the black screen, are you experiencing this on other browsers or only Internet Explorer?

I use IE exclusively. I know you're going to tell me to use Firefox. I've never switched after all these years. It seems when you can't resolve the problem, it always, somehow, fixes itself........over time. I'll report any black screens that crop up.

Okay, we have not received any other reports of this recently, and have been unable to replicate it on our end. Please let us know if the issue persists.

Been ok for the most part. I find the baseball forum going black occasionally but then the page loads after a few seconds (ads?). The black screen still shows up and hitting the back button will return me to the previous page but the black screen reappears when I click on the same item. Exiting the site and reentering, makes it all good but it's very irritating to have to go through those steps.

I switched to Firefox last year when I was having Covers site "lock up, screw up" problems and that straightened out 90% of those. you also want to download and install Adblock Plus for any browser. that greatly increases the site speed
