Had a pretty good week overall, going 10-5. Lost the last 2 totals or it would have been really good. But overall I can't complain. Buckle in, this is about to be good!
Ten Things We Learned
1. I bet you Gator fans are at the edge of your seat waiting for this tongue lashing. My oh my are you gonna hear it! What is the deal with this QB Driskel? Oh yeah, that's right, I have been telling you guys about this clown for 2 years now! I was being kind when I said I ranked all the QB in the nation he would be somewhere between 75 and 100. This guy is the worst QB in the nation, and it's not even close. Of course I got boxed this week for calling a clown a clown. But really, this was just a little banter between me and my buddy JimmydaFreak. He knew I was just pulling his chain. But I guess the mods seen it other wise. So I ask the question men? Is Florida garbage? Don't answer.....it's a rhetorical question.
2. I guess Georgia isn't as bad as some thought. Well, I never thought they were bad. As a matter of fact they were my largest play this week. Look, I knew Georgia was a good football team. I just knew like most they have some questionable coaching. I knew we would beat them, Clemson is just better, but South Carolina was walking into a hornets nest. It doesn't mean South Carolina is a bad football team, it just means Georgia is better. If you dont know by now 2 things are true. Gurshal is a beast and Clowny is over hyped right now. If Gurshal were draft eligible, no question he is the #1 pick. True story, Clemson had Gurshal and Marshal all the way up until signing day then they both flipped. Can you imagine Boyd, Watkins, Gurshal and Marshall all on the same field? SCARY!
3. Yeah Clemson won 52 - 13 yesterday. They never let all the starters play at one time and none of them past the 2nd quarter. But overall, I was a little disappointed in the intensity of the players. The thing I respect about Alabama so much is there relentless pursuit of dominance. Regardless of the opponent, the intensity is there every time and that' the mark of a champion. I know Dabo understands that but getting everyone to believe and think like that is the challenge. Dabo comes from that good pedigree in Alabama, So I know he knows what it takes, so from this point on I need to see a little more intensity from this team before we get ahead of ourselves.
4. How bad is Sparty offensively? I need for my man bense to get in here and explain this to us. I thought they going to be somewhat better this year, not the case. 21 points against S. Florida is called " not getting the job done". I think the best thing to do with this team is either play under's or just not play them at all.
5. I want to talk about 2 teams that in the pre season I was very very high on. Northwestern and Maryland. Northwestern really isn't catching people by surprise, so I guess it's hard to say they are coming out of left field, but this is a good football team. Ohio st better watch out, if these 2 teams played today, I'm taking Northwestern. Maryland I knew would be one the best teams under the radar. C.J Brown with the combination of Diggs and Long. If you don't know who Deon Long is, get to know him. He is a big time play maker. In the pre season I pointed out that Maryland is a big time trap game for Clemson, and I'm telling you right now....I'm scared of that game.
6. New year, same story. Texas football and Mac Brown are overrated. Are you kidding? These guys just went out to BYU and got hammered. I guess that means Virginia is better then Texas, right? According to SEC logic anyways. JK, guys settle down. But not really! Texas and the whole Big 12 with the exception of Baylor looks like chit.
7. I'm not sure there is a person more happier about USC losing then me. I love it! Lame Kiffen is the biggest tool to ever walk the face of the earth. What do you do with the guy? He is an embarrassment to that great university and needs to be shown the door today! There is no way you can convince me that this football team should EVER LOSE to Washington st, EVER! Especially at home in the coliseum. This team is not a team, it's a MAD HOUSE!
8. Michigan and Brady Hoke are doing a pretty good job so far this season. Putting up 40 points on that defense is a pretty good task if you ask me. I know Alabama shredded it, but overall N.D defense has been very solid for 2 years now. Did anyone see Eminem in the booth talking to Kirk and Brent? The guy was messed up, I think that was a given! Kirk and Brent both looked like they wanted to smack him but couldn't..LOL. But yeah, Im very impressed with Michigan so far this year.
9. Losing that Oklahoma st spread yesterday was mind boggling to say the least. I'm not sure what was going on but these are the types of moments where one might think something fishy is going on. If that game hits I would have went 10-0 just on sides yesterday. But it's hard to complain going 9-1, LOL. But yeah, could someone else chime in and give me there thoughts on this.... Something looked very shady about the whole thing.
10. Week 2 is in the books boys! Good week or bad it's time to move on. Yesterday I wanted to aggravate a few guys in the forum, nothing malicious or anything. Just a little fun. But apparently having fun isn't allowed anymore on here. I understand why I was boxed. You can't cause a stir up in the mains and not expected to be slapped with a " boxing " for it. But seriously, I wasn't " AFTER BLOOD " or anything. I was just pulling a few chains. But what Covers will allow is other members to come into my thread week after week and start trouble..... but again, the rules only apply to whatever that MOD is thinking at the time. But hey, it's cool.... I will serve my punishment. GL this week me........ and remember. The Best is Yet To Come!!!
