Reports suggest he’s already taken the West Virginia job. Which bodes the question, does he even care about tonight’s game?

Of course, it's a conference title game not the Gasparillo Lawnmower Bowl and why wouldn't he want to go out on a high note? The kids have played hard for him and got to the title game and they will be focused it's nothing like when a coach bails and isn't even there for a bowl. Revenge within a week too. Silly to think he 'won't care' tbh. These kids helped him get this job. The main concern is if Huff is able to run like he has done so effectively - a big if as it's a short week but the RB has been great too it's no fluke they ran for the 4th most yards this season, more than Navy who never throws, more than Boise St who has Jeanty.
Also consider some kids might want to follow him there and still play hard for him for that reason

Last week we saw Ben Arbuckle, offensive coordinator for the Washington State Cougars presumably already have the Oklahoma OC job and his offense laid an absolute egg against a crappy team. Just trying to think off the top of my head other coaches who’ve presumably got one foot out the door, how the teams generally respond in these situations. These teams did just play each other less than a week ago. So the preparation is seemingly pretty fresh.

Yeah exact same situation except it's not a conference title game, they hadn't already lost 2 in a row, and it isn't the head coach. But yeah totally the same so go ahead and don't listen to me.

Never said I wasn’t listening to you. Was merely making a talking point. Did I draw any conclusions. I asked a question. You gave an answer, and I expanded on it to see if anyone else had recollection of any other situations like this and how they’ve gone.

The article I read this morning said there were “reports” he had. I know Pat Mcafee has been pushing for him, and Pac Man Jones. Guessing until this game is over that everything is speculation and should know more after.
