Waiting for the Longhorn backers to bump it back to +11...I think Iowa St with the home crowd and a week off to prepare for a weak Texas team, they stay within a TD the whole game...maybe Texas kicks a FG to ice it to a 2 poss game at the end.

why isnt this the Texas team of old? This, so far, doesnt look like the Texas team from last year led by Gilbert who killed the team with mistakes.

Texas prepared for IowaSt according to the local news. After last year, they dont have the luxury of looking ahead. Every game is meaningful.

Jantz is mobile, but also makes mistakes. Can he limit them against a Texas defense that garnered a few interceptions the past couple of games. And why wouldnt Texas have the speed to catch Jantz? Do they recruit poor, slow athletes?

Like IowaSt, Texas is gaining confidence too after thrashing UCLA on the road, exacting some much needed revenge.

IowaSt trailed Northern Iowa by 6, Iowa by 10 and UConn by 10. If they get behind by double digits to Texas, can they crawl back?

That being said, I think 10 is too much to be laying on the road with Texas just yet. I still need to be convinced. But the big win 2 weeks ago shows that they might be on their way.

Boom-- First time to the thread and congrats on the amazing start. Can't blame you for fading Stephen Garcia and there's a lot to like in Ames as the 'Horns have revenge on their minds after the home loss last year and are off a bye. I just wanted what you thought about North Carolina at ECU this week. I thought North Carolina would be favored more than 6 1/2. I thought ECU would blow UAB out last week, playing after opening the season vs. BCS teams. However they don't seem to know how to secure the ball. UNC tends to play up or down to there competition... I was a little surprised at the line myself. I would have put it at -9 or so. IMO, there are just better games to play on the board ....

On 3-4 myself, getting your boys at +7.5 makes me smile...also getting UCLA at +23.5....small part of me feels UCLA could make this a game, another part feels Stanford will continue to blow ppl out of the water...thoughts on this game?

Boom great stuff as always...but ucla's only way of "winning" against stanford would be a cover.....and they could very well do that it's a huge line

Let me say this... we have a 50 / 50 shot of winning up there... but if you flipped it and sent them to Death Valley right now... We win and IMO by a comfortable margin. Does that tell you what I think of the two teams? Clemson really is hot right now and has the confidence and talent to back that up..... Should be a great game

I dont think anyone pays more attention than me.

The VT/Clem total was almost exactly what I thought it would be and I will riding the over with you, as somebody is getting to 31+ in this game....

Also on UCLA, think that line goes up and you coulda got 21 or more by weeks end...

A couple of questions, what are your units worth?

I have been on the boards for quite sometime and you do a nice job, i do not advocate your style of betting so many games but it works for you i GUESS :)

It appears that you always have 2-3 units plays, do they go any higher? For example your comments on Ucla possibly sqeaking out str8 up victory this week would lead me to believe that the 20,5 pts would have to be icing only and that this would be by far your strongest play yet you only give it your lowest unit count of 2 for this week?

I am trying to better understand your methods for placing units. Normally flat betting works best but I see very few people on here do that.

Do you ever post capping info and stats with your plays? Dont get me wrong I am not second guessing anything (no disrespect) as your record bodes very well for itself.

Boom, love the post, and the 10 things we learned. I'll keep the forum updated on my fav team the Buckeyes.. (go ahead let the bashers start)....Anyway, Braxton Miller the frosh QB is legit, as I suggested last week. If he is healthy, this team could win 8-9 gemas and suprise people. Tough trip to Lincoln on deck this week, and it would be easy for most OSU teams to sleep on Sparty, but this one's not good enough to worry about anything but the task at hand. I will pass on this game but have a feeling they continue to improve with the quick new kid at QB, and cover this one.

Finally, I had to laugh at your SEC comment about fanns jumping in with stupid comments. It reminded me of the Scott van Pelt show a couple weeks ago when he said how funny it is that fans from EVERY school make fun of and refer to the other conference fans as hillbillies or rednecks. True and funny...

Like the GT and both teams from Alabama..

boom what are your thoughts on clemson ML, i think va tech is overrated and has played no one, i thought the same thing last week with clemson and fsu and we saw what happened, but i let my heart get in the way. no emotion here, just work!
