    7. Kentucky 3-9

    Trivia question for ya that can help you win a few bar bets. Who is the all time win leader in Kentcuky football history? The answer Bear Bryant who won 68 games in Lexington. Mark Stoops would have to win 7 a year for 10 years to break the record. That wouldn't bother Kentucky fans as that would mean they're a bowl team every year and their trying to get back to the success they had when Rich Brooks was the HC

    If you hear an Air raid siren when you watch a Kentucky home game have no fear as the Air raid offense is back in Lexington after Stoops hired former Texas Tech OC Neal brown. They avoid A&M,LSU and Ole Miss but they have to play Florida and Bama at home as well as Georgia and South Carolina on the road

    50,000 people showed up for the spring game season ticket sales are up. Mark Stoops has talked about winning an SEC title in Lexington. This will be a much improved/more fun team to watch this season

    6. Missouri 5-7

    If i was in a reamke of the Godfather i would make sure Missouri was in the movie so i could say "Mizzou you're dead to me" I thought Mizzou would win 9 games LY boy was i dumb. train69 warned me he said Mizzou would struggle with teams like Vandy and Kentcuky. I thought train was 1 of those fans who's afraid of his own shadow but he was right and as the fonz would say "I was not exactly right"

    I knew in the Georgia game when James Franklin had no footwork and was throwing hesitation passes that this would be bad. the qb's have no footwork. James Franklin imo is a selfish qb. You can not take hits like he did in the big12. That team in red thats not Iowa State thats South Carolina and that Clowney guy Dorial Green-Beckham what he joke he was. Mizzou spent all that money to get him and thats what they got out of him that was an inside joke between me and train. hell train probably gave up 4 or 5 paychecks to help get DGB

    If you want a player to root for root for Henry Josey the rb who's back after a year and a half after shredding his knee. the problem in Columbia is Gary Pinkel. You won't win squat with him as your HC in the SEC. I didn't like LY when he made that Franklin wouldn't take a shot to play vs Az.State. That was gutless imo. The best thing that can happen for the Mizzou program is for them to finish 5-7 and fire Pinkel so out of respect for train i'll call for just that to happen

    5. Vanderbilt 6-6 {I have them beating Mizzou}

    James Franklin is a great HC. What he's done at Vandy?Unreal. 4 bowls before he got there they went to their 2nd in a row LY. Franklin is 18-8 ATS at Vandy and 11-2 ATS at home. Jordan Rodgers departs and Wyoming transfer Austin Carta-Samuels takes over. ACS was good at Wyoming then again that was wymoing. They could start 5-1. I watched their gm vs Tennessee LY and i couldn't believe how big some of these Vandy players were. I said "my god for the 1st time in my life Vandy looks like an SEC team"

    I read an article that said Franklin doing what hes doing at Vandy is like having the Cubs history and the Rays payroll. Though they could be DD dogs in all 4 SEC rd games out of respect for Coach Franklin i'll call for Vandy to make their 3rd straight bowl

    4. Tennessee 7-5

    The best things thats happened to Tennessee since Fulmer left imo was LY when they lost the 4OT game to Mizzou which sealed Dooleys fate. What a schmuck he was!. they hire Butch Jones as HC and i'm a huge Butch fan going back to his days at Central Michigan in his career he's 50-27 SU 41-30-1 ats. Tennessee fans you may have made the best hire of the offseason.

    I know they lose Bray and his top 4 pass catchers but you know what?Just like Dooley those guys were turds and most of them left because the b.s. they got away with Under Dooley wouldn't fly with Butch. they go from a 3-4 to a 4-3. they have a top recruiting class coming in next year. this year they avoid A&M,LSU and Ole Miss. They have a revenge game vs Mizzou. I see a 3-5 start and a 4-0 finish and Tennessee will go to their 50th bowl game in school history

    3. Georgia 7-5 {I have them beating Tennessee}

    LY boom_boom caught a lot of flak for saying that Florida was the biggest fraud in the SEC. With all due respect to boom the biggest farud in the SEC over the last 3 years has been Georgia. They should've beaten Bama and they would've destroyed Notre Dame. Aaron Murran imo is the best qb in the SEC at beating kentucky. But he pisses down his leg in big games. He's never beat South Carolins. They should've lost to Mizzou and Kentucky LY!

    9 of their top 12 tacklers are gone inlcuding Jenkins and Jones. 2 of Murray's top 3 pass catchers are gone. Mark richt is like a vampire every time you think he'll get fired he'll pull 1 out of nowhere. I see a 1-3 start. they're gonna get exposed vs Clemson. Hell i think they lose to Georgia Tech this year. I'm friends with a Georgia fan the bigdog but idk if he'll still be my friend after this. Georgia is a fraud and i say 7 wins for the Dawgs

    I'll preview S.carolina and Florida next

    2. Florida 10-2

    I like Coach Muschamp and i saw it 1st ahnd LY as i had a few bets against the Gators no team made better 2nd half adjustments LY than Florida. hell in the A&M game Muschamp told his defense at halftime "If 1 of you guys rushes upfield again in the 2nd half you're all fired!" They made a good jump from yr 1 to yr 2 in terms of physical play toughness etc 11-2 LY i din't like their attitude vs Louisville in the bowl BTW where were the Gator fans in that game?

    Their passing game wasn't what we're accustomed to seeing from Florida. The most yards they threw for was 219 only had 200 yards passing twice!. they're not going to be the fun and gun Gators the passing game has to get better. Jef Driskel underwent an appendectomy 2 weeks ago. 3 of the top 4 pass catchers are gone 5 of their top 6 tacklers are gone. they went from -12 in turnover ratio to +15

    the only games i seem them losing are to LSU and S.carolina they avoid Bama A&M and Ole Miss. I say the Gators will be a 10 win team and if their passing could take the next step? Look out

    1. South Carolina 10-2 {I have them beating Florida}

    Unlike Phil Steele i actually show respect for Spurrier and the Gamecocks. LY the head ball coach joined Bear Bryant as the only 2 coaches in SEC history to be the all time wins leaders at 2 different SEC schools {Bear at Kentucky and Alabama Spurrier at Florida and South carolina} What Spurrier has done in Columbia is unreal. When he was hired there i said if Gamecocks fans think he'll do what he did at Florida then you're nuts. The head ball coach is 52-42-5 ats at South carolina

    Its sad that it took the Vincent Smith hit to get most of the country to know who Jadeveon Clowney is. Hell his best play was the sack/fumble in the Tennessee game LY. Clowney will be the #1 pick in the draft after the season. this year the Gamecocks are the only SEC team that will have to play 3 straight SEC road games. I think they'll lose 1 of those 3 and i see a loss to Clemson

    Spurrier has 2 really good qb's in Connor Shaw and Dylan Thompson. Spurrier said at SEC media day we could see both on the field at the same time. Defensively they do lose 6 of their top 8 tacklers and Lorenzo ward did a great job with the defense LY. In November they won't have to leave Columbia plus no Alabama,LSU,A&M Ole miss or Auburn. I say Spurrier and the gamecocks are going to the SEC title game

    SEC Title game Alabama {11-1} vs South Carolina {10-2

    South Carolina 27 Alabama 22. South carolina finishes 11-2 Alabama finishes 11-2

    Final thoughts

    LY the SEC had 6 teams win 10 or more games,9 teams go to a bowl and they were 6-3 in the bowls. Johnny Manziel became the 1st freshman to win the Heisman. The SEC has won 7 nat'l titles in a row most people just can't stand the SEC and imo if you don't like the SEC don't watch it or bet on their games. Ric Flair once said "whether you like it or don't like it learn to love it learn to live with it because its the best thing going today" Like it or not they are the best conference right now

    Next year they launch the SEC Network which will be a hit. I think every SEC team will lose at least 1 conference game. I said LY "other conferences need to quit throwing stones at the SEC's brick house because the SEC doesn't throw stones at other conferences galss house" Should be another interesting SEC season

    Tomorrow i preview the ACC. Your thoughts on the SEC?

    nice, you're buying Tenn and UF while selling Georgia. if dawgs really go 7-5, richt could get pushed out.

    Pack, I respectfully disagree with your assessment of Georgia, especially winning just 7 games.  The offense has the potential for a record breaking year, especially because of the running game.  The Georgia coaches believe this year's defense will be much better than last year's squad.  The 2012 defense had some individual studs but they never played together as a team.  There are some studs on this year's D edition along with some new guys who are jelling as a team.

    My view is the Dawgs will win 10 or more and play in the SEC championship again.  My take for what its worth.

    Good work as always

    The top 3 can be placed in any order I suppose.

    I can't believe the overall disgust and lack of respect Georgia and their shitty QB get but I'll leave it to SEC guys to make the call.

    I also will have to disagree with your thoughts on Georgia being a fraud, winning the East the last two years, and coming up a few yards short of beating Bama, which would have given Richt the crystal ball, because they too would have butt raped the Irish.. There are uncertainties on defense, but too much talent, so I expect there won't be much drop off, if any, and yes possibly much better than last season. I agree with Mega, hard to pick a winner of top three.

    Good stuff.

    S. Carolina may be tops this time. Florida and Georgia are in the mix though.

    I'll admit to being a Dawg fan, so you can take this for whatever you think it is worth. Florida and Carolina have a chance, but I'd bet UGA as East champion in pre-season. Offense is loaded and defense will hold it's own, if not provide as many game changing big plays as last year. Murray is at his best moving the ball after falling behind. I wish he wouldn't make stupid plays when the game doesn't appear to be on the line. You give Muschamp too much credit if you think he is better than Richt. He has a defense this year, but you still have to score to win, and I don't see much improvement in their offense.

    Great stuff man. I only gave up 2 checks, and it wasnt for DGB....it was to get Pinkel fired!! You are right about Josey...my heart sank when I saw the play when he hurt his leg....didnt know if he'd ever play again.

    I agree with much of what you said, but let's not forget the Gators were one goal line fumble away from going undefeated in the regular season last year.  BOL

    Nice post and I appreciate the input.  Personally I would flip-flop Georgia and Florida, and I wouldn't be quite that harsh on Mizzou, but overall I agree with most of your thoughts.

    The SEC East has gotten overlooked somewhat but it could be better than the West this year, top to bottom.  If Vandy and Tennessee both come through then that's 5 really good teams in the East.

    I think you're pretty well spot on with your predictions packers. Nice job...

    I don't understand something tho. I've heard a lot of ppl saying georgia's defense will be just as good if not better than last year. And that is fine. But if you're going to make that leap, why can't the same be made for Florida having a much improved offense?? I think that is much more plausible than Georgia having a good defense this year... I know this is way off topic and has nothing to do with your thread pack. I just wanted to say it and didn't think making my own thread for it was appropriate. So i chose yours. Feel honored lol

    Wheaty, when you finish 103rd out of 125 teams in total offense, It's  not a big leap to believe the Gators will improve their offensive production.   Florida's passing attack ranked 113th last year...there's no where to go but improve..........if it gets any worse, they should fire every offensive coach on the staff.

    Workhorse- completely agree. That was actually part of my reasoning behind my post. I mean can they do anything but get better... My overall point tho was, i have not seen many ppl talk about Florida improving on offense, which they mist certainly will. But i have seen quite a few ppl comment about hit Georgia will pick up on d where they left off last year. And that just isn't gonna happen. When you lose 9 guys to the draft, you aren't replacing that production the next year, i don't care who you are.
    But like i said, you are completely right about florida's offense

    wheaty 1st off

    #2 I think Florida can be better on offense. I think a reason people were down on the Gators is they didn't win the way we're used to seeing them win. When you think of Florida you think of the Fun and gun chucking it all over or the Tebow time teams. We're not used to seeing Florida stink on offense

    as for Georgia i don't think they will be better on defense. You lose Jenkins and Jones and it will hurt that defense. I think Florida will be a better team with a worse record

    Then again we can agree or disagree but guess what? In 2 weeks they start playing the games and talking time will be over
