    1. Miss st  - have no problem at all here... I would say FSU only because they have won 23 straight and you don't take the champ down until the champ is dethroned.

    2. FSU - No problem here either... But like I said, I think they should stay #1 until they go down, which will be this week to Louisville...LOL so it really don't matter.

    3. Auburn - Ok. No problems..

    4. Old Piss - Absolutely no business being #4. I'm being kind when I say Old piss should be 7-10 range.

    5. Oregon - I would have them @ 4.

    6. Alabama - Show me the great wins.... Go ahead... West Virginia? By 10??  Or was it the 1 point win vs a team who has lost 16 consecutive conference games in Arkansas? Texas A&M?? Maybe, but where are they in the polls?? Fact is this is the biggest issue with the rankings IMO.... Alabama has the " Alabama rule as I call it " and it really has gotten out of hand. If we are going strictly on wins and loses... TCU and Kansas st clearly have the better resume. Please!!! This Bama nonsense has to stop at some point. But will it? I don't know. I think they go 9-3, but still still at that point we will still have eSECpn lobbying for them in the 4 man playoff.

    7. TCU - Clearly I would have them ahead of Bama at this point. Interesting thing they play W.V this weekend. But this isn't on a neutral field....it's @ W.V.

    8. Michigan st - Another media darling.... But who have they really beat?? Nebraska?? Sorry, not impressed.

    9. Kansas st - The team that never gets respect. Never!!!! Anybody with a set of eye balls knows this is a good football team.

    10. Notre Dame - They look like a decent team... But where are the great wins too???

Here is what your Top 10 should look like............

    1. FSU
    2. Miss st
    3. Auburn
    4. Oregon
    5. TCU
    6. Kansas st
    7. Old Piss
    8. Georgia
    9. Michigan st
    10. Alabama / Notre Dame / Arizona / Baylor /.....Whatever

Agree with most, but I'd take Bama at a pick em vs your #6-9, and maybe all of them on a neutral field. Thats how I rank teams.....

Doesnt really matter and thats why I dont pay attention to this crap. Miss St, Ole Miss, Bama, Georgia and Auburn are gonna cut each others throats. Mich St and Ohio St play next week to determine who could possible come out of the Big "10". K St still has to play @ TCU, @ WV and @ Baylor....they will lose 1 minimum there and be eliminated. If Florida St survives LVille, they should run the table (obviously the have big games vs UVA and Miami who will both go all out). Oregon should be able to slide in there with a mediocre last 4 remaining games. TCU is gonna slip in as well.....

    You final 4 will be:

    Oregon

    Florida St

    TCU

    SEC champion

4 power conferences represented. It will make everyone happy...except the SEC homers that think Vandy could take anyone not in the SEC.....

    Train -

I don't dis agree with anything you said really...

I'm with you, I think when the dust settles, I think conference champions will carry a ton of weight.

I think what really needs to be understood is this...............it's early. There is a long way to go.

So many game to be played... Like this week. I think after Auburn goes to Old Piss and wins, Old piss is out

really this biggest wild card is this game Thursday....

    FSU / Ville

I personally believe that the Ville beats them. But how far will FSU drop??? I would say they drop to #6 - 8 at the most and would still have plenty of time to play there self back into it. A loss on the road to #25 Louisville is no worse then losing to at the time a UN ranked LSU teams as Old Piss did.

Here is the hard truth about FSU right now...regardless of how we feel about them

They got top 25 wins. As much or more then anyone else...

This could be the week TCU and K St move up. I really like Louisville taking out FSU and Ole Miss or Auburn will cancel the other out.

We have a long way to go before this is settled

I agree, TCU and K. St. are getting the hose-job in this poll... TCU is clearly one of the 3 or 4 best teams in CFB right now... if they can beat WV this weekend, it should (better) give them a boost in the rankings, and they should (probably won't) leap over Alabama...

Ol Miss will move out of that poll this week, so that won't be a problem...

I am as hard on FSU as anyone... but if they lose this game I don't think they should drop any further than #6, and agree they can definitely still play their way into the Final 4 by clearing the rest of their plate!  If they lose to Miami, then it's over... but 1 loss shouldn't be treated that harshly to a good Louisville team on a Thursday night...

TCU had to beat Baylor to get that respect. Still pretty high up there ahead of some teams with better wins (and losses imo)

Boom. I want your opinion. As an Ohio State fan as you know. If we beat Mich ST. Win the big 10 title. Would you call me crazy to think Ohio St has a chance to get in?..here are some games that will un-do the top 4 now. GA/ FL..GA@ Kentucky. Auburn @ GA.Kentucky.Bama at LSU. Miss St @Bama Nov 29 Aub vs Bama. what i'm getting it is the sec schools will beat up-end own confrence, FLst goes down thursday..with all these games still left the final 4 will be all diff teams,

far Shot, but I think Ohio ST has a chance to make it, alot of football still needs to be played. Ohio St coming off a lack-luster gams with Penn ST. I see a 65-20 type game over ILL.

If you use the "eye test" Florida State is not #1.  I understand they are the defending champion, however, none of that is suppose to matter to the committee.

    Miss St

    Auburn

    Florida St

    Alabama

SEC is such a grind and I would be surprised if they don't have 2 in the final 4...

    We'll see.

SEC is so much better than the rest of the country it isn't even funny.

Sad thing is 90% of you clowns don't realize the playoff is for the best 4 teams....not the 4 conference champs.

I realize that. I also realize that while you are correct that the SEC is better than the rest of the country (by a mile), that means they have to play & beat each other. There wont be many 1 loss SEC teams left at the end of the year. You lose 2 games, you cant play for a title.

    Fair? Nope. Just life.

I dont think ILL puts up 20 against a better front 7, on the road with a letdown from a big win fro them.

As far as OSU getting in.....Possible. Would need a lot of carnage in front of them and would probably need Oregon to get in there to make the Mich St win look good. Ohio St wont leap frog Florida St or the SEC champion, so its gonna need the Big 12 to kill itself off and the SEC to beat each other up....both scenarios are possible. I think OSU or Mich St will be one of the last 2 or 3 teams looking in.....

No way!  4 at the most, more likely 3, and I won't be surprised if there are 1 or 2...

TCU and FSU are really the only 2 that we should expect to have 1 loss... the winner of Auburn/Alabama is the next most likely, and they both have several hurdles...

Don't be at all surprised if a 2 loss team makes the Playoff... In fact, be surprised if one doesn't!

Questionable calls..... Hmmm, let's see. Tell me again about that play-clock NON CALL against UK AND UT. Two additional losses that SHOULD HAVE OCCURRED against the Gators.

Heard about that recent epidemic in Gainesville? No-Bowl-A

While the top 10 clearly shows the respect/bias for the sec (call it what you like) when the dust settles the real question is will there be another sec rep other then the champ. In the east, If georgia runs the table and loses champ game, they would not go. With the scheduling over the next four weeks, it's hard to determine how many teams will have one loss in the west. If two do (unlikely), wouldn't the one that doesn't go to champ be in a lock position for an invite? If there are only two-loss non-championship playing teams, whether any will have a shot will be dependent on how many quality teams run out with one loss. We know that if the committee is going to have to dip to two-loss teams, it's coming from sec west.
