Very perceptive.
I did watch that game. But that wasn't the game where I knew Purdue could implode at any time. It was the game after that against Indiana Stae. They struggled against that FCS team as 16.5 pt favorites.
And I'm sitting here saying if you don't beat this team by a minimum 4 TD's you are going to have a very rough season. And they did. And that is a massive understatement. And Appleby eventually was yanked. Poor kid. He could have gotten them another 2 wins. But such is life with Purdue. And now Appleby is part of greener pastures. Anyplace is greener than Purdue. Except Rutgers who lost 49-0 to the worst MSU team possibly of my lifetime. Appreciate the kind words!

Until someone can stop this O-Line, the Cowboys will continue to win. They make everything possible. Having said that, the loss to the Ravens was so disgraceful, so you'll have juice on the Pitt side. Haven't capped it so ultimately, it's not on my radar.

I can't wait to see what this San Diego State @ Wyoming line is.
Wyoming just decided to fuk up that line by losing 69-66 to UNLV of all teams (they are a bad team).
If they had won...But now I think it will be double digits.
San Diego State is fantastic. This is no Boise State folks. They don't have a flat-footed QB who looks in the direction of his throws like Boise. Their RB is off the charts. Just sensational. I'm afraid it's going to be double digits and if it is well, I've had a harsh lesson there to push me off such a pick. But let's hope for single digits and reconvene. If it is somehow under 7....??? Wow. That would be nice.

It sucks they had the 4th quarter let down vs South Alabama because they are probably best non power 5. Better than Western Michigan IMO. Their D will punch you in mouth. Big hogs up front that road grate. UNLV emasculated Wyoming today. Laramie is a tough place to play but that D today for Wyoming showed me they are gutless. Pumphrey and Co. will dismantle them.

Oh they are better than Western Michigan. I am waiting for a bowl game where some top dog underestimates them. SDS will run all over them. I hope they get someone like Navy. They will obliterate them. Heck, they may even get a Clemson or USC with a lot of points on their side. Watch out. They are tremendous. Wyoming, why couldn't they have just won. It probably pushes the line to double digits. If that line is 7................Please let it be SDS -7.

Scal- I have been following you for a couple of years now. This is my first post, and I rarely post at all (6-7 times a season). Your insight has helped me to cap games better. For too long I looked at games from a fans perspective, rather than looking for flaws or things that "just don't look right. I know the trolls can be a real bummer on covers. In fact, they can often turn me off and I don't even post, but that's life with this lazy young generation we have. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, and applaud you for keeping your games down to a minimum. I had a good feeling on UGA this weekend and used your other two picks (WV & Marshall) to hit a 3-FM UDML parlay that paid 30-1 and got me ahead for the year. Thanks for sharing, and look forward to your NFL pick today!
