In My Opinion Colt McCoy Didn't Show Much Heart Tonight

lot of idiots on this board... as Colt said, he did not feel any pain, no need to be a superhero to play through the pain as he didn't feel any.

He tried throwing at half-time and was able to throw but had ZERO control over the ball.  He could not control where it was going.  How would this have helped Texas in any way???

It was not a pain issue, it was a control issue. Its not that hard to understand is it?

You're right. It wasn't a pain issue. It was a heart issue and when Colt went to find it at halftime he couldn't. Same as after the game when he went to find tears he couldn't.

Who gave you that info? Mack Brown?? So he tried throwing at halftime huh? Where at? In the locker room???

ABC was following his every move to and from the x ray room but didn't have any footage of him attempting to throw a football. Not outside the locker room not on the sideline. He moved his arm over his head on the bench immediately after coming out yet doesn't test it out one bit after that time.

Great kid. Great college career. But showed no heart in the biggest game of his life. No future football career for this guy.

colt threw with his dad at the half---he could not hit a side of a barn apparently.

Makes for a great story but it's not reality. So he couldn't throw 7 yds and broke down and cried. So I guess thats why he couldn't cry after the game when he tried. He ran out of tears.

I know this much. If it was that bad they would have sent him immediately for more tests as nerve injuries that bad aren't something to blow off.

I know there are plenty of tougher qb's who when put in that situation would have been testing that arm the entire 2nd half. Trying to work the feeling back in the thing. Trying everything imaginable to finish the biggest game of their career. But not Colt.

His injury may be legit. Maybe he couldn't go no matter what. But one thing is certain. He didn't show much heart and didn't show much desire to get back in that game. And I'm sure we'll see the same thing in the NFL.

questioning the kid's heart under the circumstances is pretty classless... but since you know everything I assume you already know that about yourself

@ VegasVetera...you are way off here bro...he couldn't throw 7 yards...if I was mack Brown i would put the freshman in who gave him a much better chance to win, and infact if he had sit on the ball in the 1st half, they would have had a much better chance....Mack Brown is the goat here not McCoy....McCoy made the right choice, this isn't about heart, he lied to the doctors to try to get back on the field, you don't think he wanted to win, given that he lost the heisman? Mack Brown wanted to win too, would have made 450K if he did!

to all the ppl who said colt was a classy man and all that bull. Yes he is classy, but in that interview he was told to say those things. and for the extent of his injury, he said his arm was dead. so comming out of the locker room, he was scratching his head with his right arm.

The beat off that came in had control over the ball?  Colt is a box.

this is a terrible comment.. he was to injured to play bottom line.. he would have done anything to get back into the game.
