Because it is quite obvious that you are a few fries short of a Happy Meal, and have zero understanding of the concept of probability, let me break it down for you.  After Alabama went up 48-30, Ole Miss had scored two touchdowns on 14 possessions, or 14.3% of the time.  In other words, there was a 14.3 chance that Ole Miss would score a touchdown on their next possession.  And even if they defied those odds and scored, they would have had a 7% chance of recovering an on-sides kick when the opposing team is prepared for an on-sides kick.  Then, even if they defied those odds, they only had a 20% chance of scoring a second touchdown.  Discounting several other factors that I won't calculate, you had a .002% chance of winning your bet.  So does that make you a shrewd gambler, or an extremely lucky one?

And oh by the way Einstein, I was 9-6-1 on the day, and 2 & 1 on Best Bets, and made a profit.  And but for two horrific beats (Alabama & Pitt), I would have been 11-4-1 on the day.

wow...was away all day sat  and missed the games but read the thread...alot of hateful people out there...plenty who do appreciate the posts however freak..me included 

It is also worth mentioning that another loss - the Georgia/Missouri 1st half UNDER - went UNDER the total for the game, just not the first half.  So the UNDER was the correct call, it just didn't play out to the UNDER in the first half.  Also noteworthy is that Phil Steele's predicted score for that game was Georgia 17, Missouri 16.  So it was not as if this was some sort of terrible play.  So with a little luck, my card certainly could have been as good as 12-3-1, which would have made for a monster week instead of an average one.

 

I haven't even read through it.  Just looked at page 10 and saw droyder's ridiculous post, and responded to it.  This guy was mocking me during the early games on which I went 2-0-1.  I mean geez, how dumb can you get?  Then I had two horrific beats on my afternoon games.  Those really should have gone 3 & 0.

People lie, numbers don't.  9-6 on his posted plays.  I'll do the math for you sport, that's 9 for 15 which = 60%.  You're saying a guy got "absolutely destroyed" when the plays are right in front of you.  60% = winning day.  Need me to run the numbers for you again old sport?  You may want to save your "absolutely destroyed" posts for people who have losing days.

onside kick, bonehead play by a really good safety, joey freshwater trying to do his best to make the bama offense look terrible, that and i think every 30 yarder that chad kelly chucked up somehow fell right in the receivers hands and seemingly centimeters from bama dbs. on the lucky scale, ole miss hit the lottery,  and still lost at home by 5.. pushing my goy wager. but if you watched how the first half played out then im sure anyone with half a clue unloaded the truck on bama -7 2H when it opened.

Freak, I have never seen so many degenerates come out of the wood work after 1 down week. You guys should get a job. For those of you who try and catch a streak off Jimmys advice, wait till the end of the year to post your thoughts. Its a process, and for those whose Monday morning bank acct balance hinges on the weekends results. FIND A NEW HOBBY. Your insight is unmatched, and for those who have no insight, kindly find another forum.
