Big news with Blake Harrell the OC and interim coach is now officially announced as the HC and the team was in such a bad spot mid year when Mike Houston was fired and frankly I was a bit worried ECU wasn't even gunna make their RSW total .. and I had 5.5 not 6 or 6.5 like many others .. Blake took things over and they just look like they're in a better place with offense and defense playing hard and guys stepping up .. they never really turned into the team I thought they coulda been with Houser at QB but they certainly are in a great spot now .. there's a worry about where this team's head would be at going into the final game with bowl in hand and so on but the big news and announcement was one players went wild for and really in the final weeks of the year you need to know why in the heck is a team bothering to show up .. welp ECU is a proud program and things like bowl games and win/loss records mean alot especially considering the journey the team went on to get back to a bowl game 2 yrs ago and the horrifically bad follow on year .. they're clearly over the BIIIIG asperations they had going into the season and now it's just about the heart of the team .. like the situation for them at home catching a point or so rallying to the new HC and I'd expect they carry that MOJO into their bowl game, and considering Houser was elevated off the bench by Harrell he's gunna show up for sure this game I believe .. Navy also beat ECU 10-zip last year late in the season ..
As for Navy the season reallly tailed off they had their big win vs Memphis and beat up a couple other teams but after that ND loss they really pulled a no show game in a few spots vs Rice and unclear what the QB situation is gunna be .. they already have their bowl in hand and Horvath was injured in a Tulane blowout .. he made a return but was ineffective .. the backup was total dog sh!t .. If there's any problem with Horvath you don't think twice about sitting him in this game and allow him to heal a few weeks before the big Army showdown .. we also saw Navy pull a complete no show vs SMU last year in this spot on the road game 21 pt dogs were toast in about 3 minutes .. Maybe it is closer to a coin flip with a healthy Horvath but all things considered feels like a number of reasons why this one should lean to the Pirates .. let's do it!!! .. HOIST THE COLORS!!!!!!

Little late to the party but this is such a nasty spot for ARMY and we just saw how something similar albeit much weaker wreeeeeeked havoc on Tulane at home and they had much more reason to show up .. on that note you kinda expect army to always show up in front of their fellow cadets however in this case .. off the big physical ND game, conf champ on deck and Navy in the hole with no CFP to play for now .. So it is easy to expect a downer of a game here even if we also just expect Army to not roll over in front of their fellow cadets ... UTSA on the other hand seems to be exorcising some of its demons from earlier in the year and playing pretty well and surprisingly good run D .. I think they recognize this game as more / less their AAC champ game the way Memphis recognized their game as just that and at least show up intending to win this one and very possible Army has some late noted injury cases / guys they'll be holding out this week / playing deeper down roster / etc .. recall that Army doesn't make their injury status known basically until the team takes the field and there's a few guys on their team where if they are a surprise 'out' then the line will move quickly .. UTSA def one we can stick in a ML parlay and x our fingers .. just like I did with Memphis!! woot wooooot!!!

It feels like a spot they may not even show up after their big win and Coastal could ROMP their way BOWL ELIGIBILITY vs panthers horror show defense .. Coastal been such a sad sack lately but if we knew G-STATE'ERS were in a major down spot and bad week of practice and guys hitting the portal and just not interested in their 4th win then we could reasonably guess this game is in the bag already .. sniff it out and let's make money!

UTSA ML / UNDER 54 .. ~5-1
The dummy books will SGP you down to about 3.5-1 or so if you play there.. check bookmaker, maybe CZR they might give you the real odds .. but 5-1 for something that feels pretty good i think UTSA can actually slow these guys up on the ground and any last minute guys out for Army I think its the offense could be the most significantly impacted .. you'd also not expect some rivalry situation to cause UTSA to tack on unnecessary TD's or embarrass them .. but we'll seeeeee.. good luck!

FUTURES HEDGE
SAM HOUSTON CUSA 30-1 ..... LIBERTY ML ..
IDK how I record this in the official record book but maybe just letting the tailers know what I'm doing and my suggestion .. think our tickets get burned today by the LIBS .. but we took what felt like a great shot here 30-1 with Sammy who we knew would have a nice turnaround year .. I got a good hedge last week taking J-VILLE and made ~1500 off that .. gunna roll it into this week Lib ML and I fully expect Lib to handle Sammy this week .. if we lose there's still a chance to make the champ game and you'd think JVILL would be happy to take out WKY for a chance to play Sammy again .. maybe that still leaves us an in to hedge again or maybe even take our ticket to the window .. but yeah SAMMY backers we did well this year playing early vs Rice and others plus we got the SSN wins wrapped up quickly .. plus we get these nice little hedge out spots .. Soooo.. Thanks for the ride SAMMY .. t'was well worth it !!!

ROUND ROBIN FUN
Not going all underdogs a few ML's I think are generally worth considering as favs .. realllly not interested in laying many points this week ..
BIGGER DOGS: UTSA, FRESNO,
SMALL DOGS: CINCY, KENTUCKY
SMALL FAVS: E.CAROLINA, LIBERTY, AIR FORCE
OTHERS TO CONSIDER ..
A few others to consider but would limit the use on these, little more far flung but teams I would expect to be competitive this weekend ..
UMASS .. Feels like a spot the team can come together and rally around what looked to me like legit offensive success last game .. Defense stinks of course but might win in a shootout .. no way they ain't showing up though and might catch UCONN in a real down n dead spot ..
AUBURN .. eeeesh hard to take em but reality is Alabama has accumulated more injuries and might be a surprise down game coming off the beatdown last week very very tough physical game and boiiiii .. idk if Deboer has lost the locker room but its very possible there's a cohort of guys thinking of leaving the moment this game is done .. very verrrrry tenuous spot for Bama and we'll see if Deboer has a legit handle on the team .. or not ..
ARK STATE .. feels like some ODU players maybe packing it in on a season that fell wayyyyy short of what it coulda been .. Ark State with 6 wins but there are 77 bowl eligible teams for 82 spots and 16 5 win teams looking to fill the void there .. almost certainly feels like there will be 6 win teams left behind and easy for coach to point that out and recommend they LOCK IT UP this week with a win at home .. eh??!
S.MISS .. they've been the greatest fade ever but im just gunna say I can't even think of a reason why Troy would be rolling outta bed for this game .. 17.5 points in an EPIC DEAD spot with almost certainly few fans in the stands and S.MISS team that was at least still fighting last week and this is only shot at an FBS win after miserable season its very possible the team rallies for a big surprise win vs a team that isin't interested in this game .. ....... think'a'bout'it ..
MARSH .. Catching 3.5 and just need a win to wrap up the division I believe .. welp lose and you get nothing .. I thought JMU was gunna ROLLLLL vs appy last week in such a big spot but seems like a big blow for them and now getting a MAX effort from a tough MARSH team .. mmm ..

CHAMP WEEK
BRIDGE PLAY
JVILLE ST / WKY UNDER 58.5 (ESPN)
We saw live in game Jville's great QB Tyler Huff go down with what looked like a nasty ankle or possibly knee injury and taken off the field unable to weight on it .. the matchup this time was expectedly slow and might speed up next week with Huff healthy but maaaan if he's hurt at all I can't see the things that make Jville such a dangerous offense being nearly as effective and wouldn't expect them to play hurry up either .. if Smothers is the QB well we've seen enough of how much different the offense is with him ... its almost unbearable to watch .. 58.5 is the total we'd expect with huff in and 100% I think very good chance he isin't by next Friday and one way or another this team is gunna have to get alot of practice with Smothers this week anyway .. Feels like the books are putting out a total that doesn't account for the diff QB so hitting it now and think we'll see it much lower tomorrow .. even 52 feels a bit high with Smothers at QB .. either way I think we can middle out if we're skiddish about Huff being out .. welp might wanna get it while its hot .. good luck
