Nearly nailed the Temple game to the letter last time out against Penn. Now they hit the road to take on Xavier in a pick'em game. I go back and forth on this game. Temple has the talent to beat the Muskies. They aren't that deep and Temple's defense has the ability to slow down Tu Holloway and force others to beat them. Vegas must think that Temple's got a good shot in this one because it's a pick'em. I fully expected to be getting a point or two at least in this one.
As with every Temple game, the big question is twofold. Will Lavoy Allen get the stick out of his ass and who will step up and score besides Fernandez? The Penn game was Khalif Wyatt's coming out party as he looked good in the win. Problem was they played like crap for the most part and good teams may win that game. Temple just havent put together a great effort since the St. Bonaventure game.
Unfortunately, the Owls resume is falling apart too with Maryland and Georgetown hitting the skids. Thank goodness for the win over Georgia and a win over Seton Hall at full strength. Xavier's beatable. Very much so. I just don't think Temple can do it right now. They may get them in the A-10 tournament but on Saturday I fear it's Xavier's to win. Small lean to the over as well...Might be a painful one to get but I like Over 129. Xavier 69-66
Elsewhere: UCLA -6.5 -- Stanford just can't compete with the Bruins size and depth. I think the Cardinal get routed once again.
Loyola Chicago -10 -- UIC has been pitiful since their win over Illinois. Doesn't help that they lost some depth too.
Mississippi State +10.5 -- This team is back on track now and Georgia could be reelin a bit after losin to Tennessee.
UAB -5.5 -- Memphis is young. Tough road game for them especially without Witherspoon.
North Texas -8 -- Faded ASU vs. Denver....doing so again with a more potent UNT at home.
Idaho +1.5 -- Vandals are hot hot hot. Boise's road woes haven't been fixed THAT much.
Leans: UVA -1 Cuse Over 140 Tennessee +7 BC +7.5 Yale -6.5 Cal Poly +2
