The reason for this is because Demary Jr. is taking up too many minutes, and there is better players on the bench not seeing time like Jaylin Stewart, Jaydin Ross, and Eric Reibe.
It's a 9 man rotation Dan Hurley has said himself. I have nothing against Demary Jr. I just don't think he is a dangerous player offensively with outside shooting, and driving the paint. I'm not impressed with his defense either. He looks out of position many times, and he seems to make mistakes in crunch time also.
So for me Silas is the least effective player in the 9 man rotation, and if there is a way to substitute a higher quality player. I am very interested in that. If Silas starts playing better in practice or gains confidence then this decision could be re-explored further into the season.
