Saturday April 3rd Hoops Action *Final 4 Edition*

Baylor/Houston U62.5 1st H

Zaga/UCLA U69.5 1st H

 

I think UCLA and Houston will want to start out with a slower pace and crash the boards and get back on defense. Baylor and Zaga have too many shooters and will kill you in transition with open looks from 3. Arkansas and USC gave up a ton of easy buckets, dunks and wide open 3s in the Elite 8 games and tried to play fast and furious....which is the absolute worst strategy against Zaga & Baylor.....Rebounding is an absolute must, as Baylor and Zaga thrive on 2nd chance opportunities. 

 

Lean both game totals under as well @ 134.5 and 145.5 .....may still play them. I think both games will be competitive, which makes the end of game/fouling scenario come into play which is brutal on unders....

Competitive as in 2-3 point game or as in they keep it close to the 14 point spread lol...

BOL Train, like the plays. Shooting becomes a lot tougher in the bigger gyms. peace_5

Competitive as in 2-3 or 12-13....lol. Even if down 15, a couple 3s gets you back in the game and they will fouling for sure since its the Final 4....

Yep. Lucas Oil Stadium is huge, and all it takes is a small variance to make shots off target.....Wether its depth perception or weird focal sports in the background.... Loved playing unders when they had those outside games on the air craft carrier.....an_roll_laugh

Took Under in Hou/Baylor game... was thinking 1H also.   Houston can give them fits defensively and the Cougs are also good for 5-6+ minute scoring drought on offense.

Not exactly true, zag doesn't thrive on 2nd chance opportunities, in fact they don't even rank in the top 100, reason being they score the 1st time an_light

The only recipe for a zag loss is slowing the game down and Juzang shooting 50%+. Timme will likely score at will, so the only way to beat them will be to outscore them and not turn the ball over. Mick should have these kids ready. I think they cover.

They arent in the top because as you stated, they shoot a good %....but that just skews the 2nd chance opportunity %....its more than a #, its watching a team. Thats why I never look at stats or kenpom. My eyes, brain and gut are all I need to figure things out.

I followed on both Unders 1H,  they are hitting the 3 ball which is making me nervous.  Would love a nice 3-4 min scoring drought right about now.  Looks like its gonna come down to the wire.  Thanks for everything either way it turns out Train.  GL to everyone!
