1* 97-97
2* 20-17
3* 3-5
4* 1-1
5* 0-0
9-0 yesterday. It's nice to have things go as I suspect every now and again.
1*North Carolina St Wolfpack -4.5
UVA just lost the game of the year @ rival Va Tech in triple OT on Wednesday. Gonna be real tough for them to bounce back on the road in a hostile environment, vs a team that consistently puts pressure on you. Virginia may be the "ranked" team here, but the Pack is certainly the better and more tested squad.
1* Alabama Crimson Tide -4.5
Bama swept the Cats last year in 3 meetings. The smallest margin of victory was 5. This Bama team has been banged up a little bit, but it sounds like Philon, Wrightsell and Hannah are all good to go today. The Tides offense on their home floor is a different animal. This Kentucky team has gotten healthier in the last couple weeks, and it's paid dividends with wins over Indiana and St Johns. But this will only be Kentuckys second true away game, the first a loss @ Louisville. The Tide Roll.
1* Providence Friars +12.5
Last year, the Friars lost by 2 in both games vs the Johnnies. I'd bet they'd love nothing more than to stick it to Bryce Hopkins, after he jumped ship and joined the enemy. They have the offense to hang tough in this one, but their defense is going to need to rebound. Much like Nebraska last night, if the Friars can limit second chance opportunities, they have a shot in this one.
1* Chattanooga Mocs -5.5
VMI has one of the worst overall defenses in the entire country. Only three of their 9 losses have been by single digits. They've only won 2 DI games, both vs teams in the 330s rankings wise. The Mocs offense on the other hand, has been extremely serviceable. They take care of the basketball, shoot well from the foul line, and play lots of bodies keeping fresh legs on the floor. This is a big mismatch.
3* Kansas St Wildcats +7.5
This will be BYUs first true road game, and its at the Octagon of Doom, one of the tougher venues to play in. The Cats have run off four straight here, with a big win @ Creighton shoved in there. BYU hasn't even been tested since Dec 9th, and haven't played in a game since before Xmas. This one has Wildcats win SU written all over it, but I'll gladly take the 7.5 points.
1* Boston College Golden Eagles +6.5
Ga Tech just left everything they have on the floor at Cameron Indoor where, if they get a less biased whistle, they have a chance to win the game. Tough spot to bounce back from, and I think the line is telling us that.
