Rebels with a cause

Fairly easy posted win with Penn St +12 last night, I also took them non-posted at the alternate line of +9.5. Worked out well.

UNLV +5: Rebels got a bit of a bad rap for losing bunch of games early on when they were riddled by injuries, especially in the front court. Recently, while getting healthier, they have beaten Boise at home and Utah State on the road before finally falling to San Diego State. New Mexico has been a nice surprise at 7-2 in conf and 16-4 overall with a mostly new team and coach. Think this is a close game to the wire with the home team having a good chance for the outright win. 0.75 units.

Buffalo +8.5: Think we see a desperate effort out of the Bulls here. After opening with 3 straight conf wins, they've dropped 5 straight -- but it's been a bit of a gauntlet -- Ohio, Kent, Miami-O, Akron and then a real tough one-point loss to UMass. Outstanding PG Freitag (who has four games with 30 or more points) missed the Akron game and was ??? going into the UMass tilt but ended up playing 38 minutes so gotta believe he is near 100%. Bowling Green is solid enough at 4-4, though they have the same overall record at 13-7 at the Bulls. Again looking for a fairly close game here.

One more for the road:

West Virginia -7.5: The Mountaineers are 12-0 at home and that includes 11-point wins over Kansas and Colorado. K-State 0-3 on road in conference play and losers of 6 of their last 7, with the season going sideways fast. Losing Bashir and McGriff has been massive not to mention a couple of other decent rotation pieces. Just don't see them going into Morgantown and putting up much resistance against a WV team that is very stout defensively while also finding their offence in recent games. 0.5 units.
