Loyola-Chicago -2: Tonight, the monster dies. The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers will end their 9-game losing streak in conference play. And it sets up perfectly as the Ramblers host the 3-6 and injury-riddled LaSalle Explorers. Now, the Ramblers were expected to finish in the top half of the Atlantic-10 standings, even gaining 2 of 27 first-place votes in the pre-season polls. Unfortunately, the Ramblers ran into major injury problems right from the get-go in early November and only recently started to get some of the walking wounded back. One of those returning was 4th year PG Justin Moore, who has struggled a bit in his first 2 games back but hopefully will get back closer to form tonight. 6-10 centre Miles Rubin has been the one constant with 11.1 PPG, 7.1 RPG and 2.3 blocks PG. They got some decent wings including Xavier Amos who missed 14 games himself and a guard I liked at C of Charleston, Deywilk Tavarez. This is not a team devoid of talent. To make a long story short, I like the Ramblers to get it done at home tonight to end this soul-sucking losing skid and get a win for themselves, the campus, the long-suffering fanbase and of course the late, great Sister Jean. Score prediction: 74-63. Going big... 1.25 units on this one.
