My 4 day weekend started today. 
Sunday and Monday below freezing with rain on Sunday which makes for ice on the roads. Most folks down here have absolutely no clue on driving with those conditions. We decided to stay home stay warm and watch the carnage on TV.

 I’m down outside of Houston. Your son is correct and you are as well. Lol The main concern is ice buildup on power lines which will lead to power outages with downed lines. Which is understandable. Other than that it’s a couple days of below freezing with ice everywhere. Relax don’t drive stay at home , take a sick day. I went to the store this morning and had to wait for a parking spot. The “toilet paper” isle was empty, I was like ok then. I was raised in western NY just off the Lake so  I’m not bothered.
