I'm sorry you're hurting xinstory1990. We've all been there. And when get on a bad run, it seems like every possible thing that CAN go wrong, does. Impossible losses one after another.
Way back in the 90's, I went on a 1-17 streak ats. I was stuck $800 with my book, and I was just a waiter, and didn't have it. We were going to have to meet the next day, so I put $880 to win $800 on Boston to beat Atlanta, at Boston. I was laying a few points. Boston was up 25 points in the 3rd quarter. Back then, those kinds of leads didn't disappear like they do today. I was breathing easy, because I was going to be back to even, and not have to figure out where I was going to get $800. I had a wife and two kids, and no money.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the game was canceled late in the 3rd quarter. It basically got "rained" out. How does that happen? How does an INDOOR game get "rained out"???
Well I don't know about now, but back then, at least that game, the basketball court was laid down, over the hockey rink. Something went wrong, and there was condensation forming on the hard deck, and players were slipping on the moisture. They determined it was unplayable conditions, and called off the game.
My bet was considered a no bet. So now I still owed the book $800, and what's worse, not only did i not have it, but he was asking me how it is, that I was betting $880 on a basketball game, if I didn't have it. That was embarrassing. I paid him off over a few weeks, but he never took another bet from me again.
That was way back when Sir Charles Barkley played for the sixers. Part of that 1-17 run, I had Philly -6.5 over somebody. Sir Charles was at the line, shooting 2, with 2 seconds left, up 6. All I needed him to do was make ONE FUCKING FREE THROW, out of two, and he clunked them both. It wasn't even close. He bricked them both, badly. I was convinced he missed them intentionally.
After that Boston cancelation, I was so convinced there was a higher power that didn't want me to bet, I gave up sports betting for about 20 years.
