1* Columbia/Cornell Over 171.5
Cornell has scored 90+ in ten out of thirteen games. They shoot a ton of 3s, and make a ton of 3s. That should be a little enhanced tonight as this is their first home game vs a DI opponent since Nov. 20th so the home cooking should help. Columbia, also shoots a lot of 3s, and they also make a lot of 3s. Both teams are top 20 in the country in 3pt%. While Cornells offense is superior to Columbias, their defense is shit. Both teams should get what they want, when they want it.
1* Green Bay Phoenix +1.5
Probably not a lot of people dislike Doug Gottlieb more than myself, but I have to hand it to him, his guys are playing hard for him this year. They are nearly 50 spots higher on KenPom than where they started the year, and have won 3 of their last 4. Milwaukee has dropped their last two, and this is leg 3 of a road trip, vs an in state rival. I'll take the home dog in this spot nearly everytime.
1* Dartmouth/Harvard Over 144.5
Another match up of teams that shoot the ball very well from outside. And while Harvard likes to play things at a controlled tempo, in previous games vs teams that like to run, they've shown they aren't afraid to do it. Dartmouth loves to run. 46th fastest tempo in the country. This also tells us why they have a large turnover problem. That should help an advantageous defense get a few easy buckets along the way. Harvard also shoots 80% from the charity stripe as a team, which never hurts an over.
1* Oregon Ducks -5.5
I strongly dislike taking road favorites in the Big Ten, but this Rutgers team has shown they have very little interest in playing basketball this year. 0-3 in conference already. Their offense is absolutely terrible. If it wasn't for their ability to get on the offensive glass, who knows where they would be. Their defense is usually really good, but this year they just seem disinterested. Oregons been on the east coast since last thursday, so I'm not too concerned about the west coast team, heading east here. And I think Oregon has turned that corner. They've won 4 of 5, with the only blemish to Gonzaga by 9.
1* USC/Michigan St Under 151.5
Sparty will do their best to keep this pace at a slow one. Their top 5 defense will really bother the Trojans, especially cause they guard without fouling and USC lives at the foul line. No team in the country shoots more free throws per game, at 31 attempts per night. Which is nuts, but they like to drive to the basketball and force a whistle. That won't happen in the Breslin Center.
