This is mostly a play against St. Johns than it is a play on Depaul. I think this the worst spot possible for St. Johns tomorrow night. St. Johns is coming off of two big games against West Virginia (which they won) and Duke. I watched most of the Duke game and St. Johns expended A LOT of effort and emotion but ultimately came up short.
Off those two high-emotion games they now have to travel to the doldrums of Depaul for a midweek game. Adding on to that...St. Johns is hosting Syrcause on Saturday. Not to mention Depaul has been off since last Wednesday so they are well rested and have had plenty of time to prep for this game. To me, this is just a classic sandwhich game for the johnnies and I would be very surprised if they came away with a win. Just my two cents.

I have seen this angle taken by many cappers here when it comes to teams being "emotionally drained because they fought hard and came up short the the past game" and I think it is overrated.
Arkansas fought hard with "high emotions" and spending a lot of effort etc.. against Alabama and came up short the game before and still managed to take care of Vanderbilt tonight.
I'm not saying I'm against Depaul here just sayin that I think this expending alot of effort and being "emotionally drained" is played out and overrrated.

I agree. However, that is not my only angle for playing this one. The emotional drain is only a part of it. I think the emotional drain combined with a look ahead to saturday means they won't be entirely focused on this game.
And I wouldn't exactly compare this game to Arkansas/Vandy last night. Vandy coming into their building was a big game for them. St. Johns traveling to Depaul doesn't quite have the same luster.

Locked in Depaul at -2 for a substantial amount...relatively speaking. Rarely do I feel great about a game so we'll so how this goes. GL to everyone tonight.
