In spite of all the SHARP Moves and Angles against me I won with N.C. Central -7 yesterday. I projected a 12-15 point win and they won by 12.

Notre Dame -1.5 (-110) 1st Half LARGE....well I guess all my plays are for the most part

There are several reasons I really like Notre Dame today and I think the 1st half is the better than the Full-Game.

    1.  They got rid of the butterflies of the Tournament yesterday with their "ice breaker" game against Ga. Tech and should have a good feel for this arena and able to get off to a fast start.

    2.  After leading big in the 2nd half (by 15) they let Ga. Tech comeback on them for a narrow 3 point win (67-64).  I think the coach will be reminding them of this and after closing out poorly yesterday they should get off to a fast start today.

    3. Another reason for favoring the 1st half play, I still have to wonder if due to all of the time that both Matt Farrell and Bonzie Colson missed this season if both of them are still playing themselves back into condition and they might struggle late in games.  Certainly, Bonzie Colson is still playing himself back into shape and will tire late in games.

    4.  Notre Dame has the revenge angle in their favor having lost the first meeting this year 75-80 and in that game neither Matt Farrell (averaging 17 points and 5 assists) or Bonzi Colson (averaging 21 points/10 rebounds) played.  The team that Va. Tech faces today is a tototall different team and in that game Va. Tech shot 50% vs. 36% for Notre Dame and they still only won by 5.

    5.  In the first meeting, Notre Dame only has 7 healthy players that played in that game.  They are lucky nobody fouled out.  They were playing 7 on 10 and I am sure were not near as agressive on defense as they could have been.

    6.  Before Colson and Farrell were injured, Notre Dame was thought to be a Top 10-15 ranked team.  Back at full-strength that should be the same team that they have on the court now.  From top to bottom, Notre Dame has far more talent to put on the court.

    7.  The loss of Colson and Farrell has made Geben, Pflueger and Gibbs much stronger players and able to step up and make major contributions at any time. Geben and Pflueger are both average double digits and Gibbs is averaging 9 points.

    8.  Most importantly, Notre Dame knows that they will be given strong consideration by the committee for the loss of their 2 stars and what a different team they are now, BUT they must win at least 3 games in this Conference Tournament.  Today they should get #2.

Keep in mind, Notre Dame played most of their Conference schedule with out their top Scorer and Rebounder, Colson and much of it without Farrell, their 2nd leading scorer and leader is assists and Va. Tech only won 1 more conference game that Notre Dame did.

BOL and I may be back with another play.  If so, it will be at least 2 hours before tip-off.

    Have a great day!!!

Yeah, the shine is a little less after laying 18 and barely winning. ND has more talent obviously, they may just not have the best team. GL on all your plays.

Yeah, the shine is a little less after laying 18 and barely winning. ND has more talent obviously, they may just not have the best team. GL on all your plays.

No Wrong and.......that is an idiotic statement, since saying Ga.  Tech instead of Pittsburgh is really irrelevant to the entire write-up, especially when all of the facts and stats are correct and only one of 1000 works was incorrect.  Can you not figure that out?

Try typing 1000 words without a mistake. Also, all of my statements were about Notre Dame and their game against Va. Tech and had nothing to do with either Pittsburgh or Ga. Tech......Gheez some of you people.

I reAd what Mac wrote as the fact that you wrote ga tech instead of pitt as irrelevant because all the details you provided were true.

dont think he was saying that tiny mistake makes everything you wrote irrelevant.

in2it i have much respect for your capping skills my man. But I disagree with you on this one. This irish team just isnt very good this year. If it werent for there coach I wouldnt give em any chance in this but I respect his skills at coaching and he'll fire his team up. I just dont think they have the sustained talent to beat this hokie team if they play there A game. But you just never know how the game could play out(ie foul trouble etc) Gonna be a great battle though and cant wait to watch it. Hokies+ points for me

    goodluck on your play sir

     N.C. State -3 (-115) over Boston College.

There is no team that is sitting more on the fence between falling in or falling out of the NCAA Tournament than North Carolina State.

The Wolf-pack knows this and have come to this Tournament at the Barclays Center on a mission and should have a laser like focus today.  Most of the Players can read and they know that just one win in this Tournament should move them into the Lock category, but with a loss today the door to the NIT gets a lot wider.

Boston College got a nice win yesterday, but it was against a (13-19) Ga. Tech team that has lost over 60% of their games including 8 of their last 10.

Today B.C. takes a big step up in class against (21-10) North Carolina State that has won 8 of their last 10 and 5 of their last 6 against some of the best teams in the conference.

Also, even though BC won yesterday, prior to that they were 3-12 ATS in their last 15 Neutral Site games.  Not a good trend.

The only positive thing for BC is that they did get a game in the Barclays Center and should start out a little more comfortable that N.C. State, but it is a 40 minute game.

I would be very surprised if the Wolf-pack does not punch their ticket to the NCAA today and 3 points is not too much to cover.

    BOL today!

Certainly appreciate your POV and anything can happen with 19 and 20 year old kids, but I have to respect the -18 points the Books put on Notre Dame yesterday on a neutral court.  They led in the 1st half by more than 18 and I think started to relax.  This team has 2 Stars and 3 other players that would start for any other team in the country.  If they can pull it together, I think they could really do some damage and winning today is a must for any chance at the NCAA tourney.

Va. Tech is already listed as LOCK to get in the Tourney, so you have to know which team needs this game more.  That has a lot to do with which team I support this time of year.

BOL and thanks for you write-up.  Should be a great game although my interest will be a lot less after half-time

OK......this will be the last one for me today.

    UL Monroe -2 (-115) 1st Half

UL Monroe -4 ((-110) Full Game

I really think this is a solid opportunity to grab a big chunk of change from your Book and that is why I am taking both the 1st half and full-game.

This is an angle that RARELY comes up:

Beating the Better Team 3 times in the same season.

No matter how you look at these two teams it is hard to not call UL Monroe the better team.

    Season Record
    UL Monroe (15-14)
    Ark. State (11-20)

    Conference Record
    UL Monroe (9-9)
    Ark. State  (6-12)

    RPI
    UL Monroe (219)
    Ark. State  (288)

So now that we have determined who is better, I think it is highly unlikely that Arkansas State will be UL Monroe today for the 3rd time this season.

They won both meetings this year:
    At home:  75-64
    On the Road: 83-79

Can you imagine how easy UL Monroe's Coaches motivational speech is today?

"Boy's right now we have a winning record (15-14) and the only way we do not have a winning record is if we let these b*stards on this 11-20 team that just beat us 4 days ago come back and beat us againe for the 3rd time this season.  Are you gonna let that happen.....HELL NO!!!!"

Really like this UL Monroe team that 4 days ago in their very last game lost to Arkansas State to get some payback today.

    BOL!!!

Thanks Dabreeze.......when I handicap and look for the games I like I do it before ever looking at what everyone else is doing.  I try not to let anyone or anything else influence my thinking.

A few times I have really like a situation and then read someone's post and got off the game and of course you know what happened.

Also, when someone is pretty hot and people start to tail, it seems that someone always jumps out of the woodpile (not a regular) with a Big Headline and takes the opposite team.  I sometimes wonder who they are and what their real objective is, which is an obvious reaction when you are on a Forum that is owned by Books and Touts.

Hope you and everyone has a great day too!
